Is that why i got 15 pupils last night? One of these days I'll get one that starts with good attributes, and I'll actually level with it and you'll get the experience. :clapping:
-
If you guys ever wonder why you got an influx of pupils, it's because I usually pick one of your characters to test my new ones on, and I go through a ton of them, and quit when I can't think of names anymore.

I use the purple stuff that comes in a gallon like anti-freeze and I cut it 50% with water. Spray it on and powerwash it off, it's great.

But which chevy pattern? Oh, snap. I was talking about the one that's on the back of my 350. It's the same as the one that was on my old CJ 2.5 but not my MJ 2.5. I think the CJ had the ol' Iron Duke 2.5 Don't quote me on any of that though. I just know that MY chevy transmission wouldn't bolt to MY MJ 2.5
-
I had a truss made for mine that goes over the top with an extra that BOLTS TO the pinion part of the housing, where the vibration dampener usually bolts to. I trust that enough to keep my tubes from spinning.

It would be kinda neat, but in my opinion the trucks are already too long.
-
I watched that crappy "the day the earth stood still" movie last night, and the rust on that MJ reminded me of those little eating bugs. Nice finds though.
-
Would they be like baja fenders, or would they be like bushwacker flares?

I've heard you'll need high nickel rod for a stick welder. Your best bet is to let a pro do it, though. Also, I've heard that you should weld the top half, so if the welds crack, your axle doesn't seep.

The only info I have for you, is that I pulled a bellhousing off an old CJ 2.5 and it was chevy pattern, I pulled it out of my MJ, and it was the jeep pattern. Look at bellhousing pics on google, the difference will be obvious. Chev patterns are pointed at the top.

My guy with the club is doing well, he got the thick skin bonus, and the little shiv. It'd be nice if his agility would get some boosts though, or his speed. I'm crossing my fingers for the Armor bonus at the next level. It seems to greatly decrease damage. http://cheekyone.mybrute.com/cellule

Yea, Brenda's little percentage bar is giving the other one's penis envy.

I talked to a Rubicon Express tech once that said XJ coils on a TJ would lift the TJ 1" more than the XJ. Take it for what it's worth.

I'll have one eventually. I've got a buddy with one that he bought and had running good for $3500. Then I'll make my wife drive it to work.... :rotfl2:

My thoughts exactly.

350 in a 'manche, What Rear End is needed?
Hawk replied to streetjeep2.5's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
4.10's in both, so they match. Leave them in for now and decide later after you've tested it out on the street and turf. The rear for mine has 3.73 in it, close ratio 4 speed with 1:1 top gear. I'll be waiting till I log some street/strip miles before I decide on what I want to stick with. -
I am going to do that as well. Same here, except I picked C. Remember, if you're plating your unibody, to put holes in the plate, rather than just welding around the outside of it. Then weld inside the holes, too. This'll help tie it all in better.

I'll be using an 8.8 in mine (2wd) but I have extra shafts and spiders for it, and when I regear, I'm putting some money into building it up. A friend owns an axle shop, said he's got a buddy with a 700hp mustang that'll do a 60 ft wheelstand on his 8.8, but I didn't get the details of the axle or the weight of the car. -
Truk nutz...every time I see those, I want to cut them off and put a truk-gina in the receiver hitch. Congrats on the weight loss, too.

what is better this 8.25 or an 8.8
Hawk replied to comanche13's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Wait, I misread, it's a low spline 8.25? They're both way too expensive. I paid $200 for my complete 8.8 with disk and an extra set of shafts. I paid 150 for a 3.55 locked high spline 8.25, and my last 8.8 was $100 and it's 3.73 posi with disc. 8.8 rears are 31 spline, 44's are 30 spline. I would suggest a little more looking, unless you really don't have ANYTHING near you...over $250 is a huge ripoff for an 8.8 unless it's setup for your truck already. -
I would guess 340. I just don't see 23k though. I'm still high bidder at $200! If I end up winning, I'll let you guys know what engine/trans/rear are in the truck, right before I part it out to make myself $23k!!!!

track bar bushing worn out can i still drive?
Hawk replied to comanche13's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Don't take the chance. I'd suggest just getting a new aftermarket unit. -
what is better this 8.25 or an 8.8
Hawk replied to comanche13's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
It really depends. What's the price of the 8.8 you're looking at? The 8.8 is a stronger axle and comes with better brakes, but you have to get it set up to fit your vehicle, and it doesn't have a locker in it. The 8.25 isnt really a WEAK axle, but not the greatest. It already comes set up for an XJ, locked, and with an extra set of shafts...If you have an XJ, the 8.25 seems like the best choice. What's the price of the 8.8, and is it already set up for your vehicle? -
23,000 invested and it only runs 10's? Sweet truck, I bid on it for fun, but I'm having a hard time believing he put that much jack into that truck. Also, what engine/trans/rear are in it?
