x2  It's the purple. You're thinking of Zoolander's (project88) rear tube bumper.

Then that's "adult" snot. Save it and post it up in classifieds.

No, I put these on a couple of years ago, and no unusual sounds yet. Hmmmm. Wonder if this had anything to do with my recent brake squealing problem? This sounded more like a pig though, but the neighbor's baby was kind of ugly........... :rotfl2:

Ok, so I found a rear shock app on the Edelbrock sale that I feel will be a good match. The Toyota T100 rears are pretty darn close on suggested specs for collapsed and extended on 2-3" lift. Plus, since Edelbrock says each shock model is tuned specifically for the model application, I'd rather have a shock that was valved for a pickup than an SUV. Anyway, my question is, before I order do I need to worry about anything as far as the eyelets go? Should these bolt right up, especially with the bottom mounts being a "side pin" style?

It's all good.

Now THAT's a good sense of humor Pat! Well that sucks for sure, because I too was enjoying the nice pics of progress, especially the tan interior w/wood trim. Just pick 3 or 4 items out of your parts bins to sell and you're golden. Isn't your birthday coming up again soon?

Does anyone make new stock height leaf springs?
WahooSteeler replied to MrSimon's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Simon, are you going SOA because your front coils ended up being taller than you expected, or because you decided you wanted more lift? I got the impression you were happy with @4" but only decided on SOA so you could level out after your coils were too tall, not because you decided you wanted to go for 6" of lift. If that is the case, I still think selling the tall coils and finding the right size coil is easiest. If you want to go for the big lift, lots of other suggestions made make sense to me. :dunno: -
this might be the strangest thread i've ever seen

Does anyone make new stock height leaf springs?
WahooSteeler replied to MrSimon's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
seems like the easiest thing to do would be sell your coils and get the right size from somebody, if not just buy new with your leftover refund/stimulus money :brows: -
I'd have to disagree... 32C :smart:  32?? Remember, the measurement isn't just about how big or little the rack is. A girl, not necessarily saying Miss Green Shirt, might have a, um, "large back".

Dracula, this is a mod I've been planning to do in the future too. The other guys on here I've seen do it said they had a BIG difference aftwards. I believe goblazers was one of those, said he couldn't believe it.

anyone ever made a "suburban" out of a Grand Waggy?
WahooSteeler replied to Pete M's topic in The Pub
Pete, the pic of the Excursion was taken several feet closer than that of the Waggy, so it's not apples to apples. At least that's what it looks like to me. :dunno: -

WahooSteeler replied to SuperWade2's topic in The Pub
Well, I just found him. Page 8 of the "who am i talking to thread", jeeptruck86. And amazingly enough, after his post, i commented on him being a steelers fan, and the next post "introduction" picture was....................YOU! Crazy! viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1777&start=105 I'm still trying to remember his real name. He did some other photoshopping for me but I've deleted those emails. Send him a PM. -

You mean like this? The new 1/2 series from BMW. No I don't remember who it was. LOL. Actually, I'll go look for him since I really don't remember his name. Might take a little bit. -
So, 2 weeks ago you were going to sell yours, now you're about to buy your second one? :hmm: Your new nickname is Duncan..............as in Yo-Yo. Does the dog come with the Cherokee? Did you run the stoplight hanging from the tree?
-
Jeff, did you get them to put 2 bays down below on the backside? Totally awesome to see it come along, no more wrenching in the driveway! What will you end up with, about 2300-2600 sq.ft. it looks like?

not going for post count, going for at least letting people know what the deal is with the shocks...especially since you can't get any solid info out of edelbrock on them. Well, I'll agree with the lack of support from Edelbrock. Called today to try to get some help on choosing the right shock for the rears and the guy was like, "did you check the website?" "umm, yeah, that's why i'm calling. nothing listed for mj rears so looking for some direction on what model would be best. plenty to choose from with correct length, tell me which one would be most appropriately valved etc." "they're vehicle specific, if it's not listed for your truck, nothing's going to be the right application." Thanks for nothing! I'll figure out the best match on my own. On the other note, I'm not saying you are going for post count, you got that covered. Just seems a little self indulgent IMO. If your intent is to let people know what the deal is with the shocks, all the more reason to post it up in the "what have you done...today" thread also. 3 posts in 3 different threads will reach more people than 2 in 2. :shake:

selling the OMEs?

Since you asked for opinions and "etc", I'll offer an "etc". It seems you've forgotten to copy and paste this in your "what did you do to your MJ today" thread after you did it on your MJ 757 project thread. Why not just post in all three? :smart:

Blurry pictures? Is something wrong with your eyes? They're pretty damn clear. So for my screen name to get the 8 willed to me, let's keep it simple: Drahcirismyhero

It's kinda like the saying, "it's a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there". In this case, "it's fun to talk about it, but I wouldn't want to do it". ;)
