  1. No, it's a Ikea s/s soap dish. :D BUT you have given me a good idea Wahoo-man. Ikea? Well then, it's not just any soap dish, it's a SA-VEEDISH SHOAP DISH! :clapping:
  2. Guts, that is one awesome truck. Super impressive work you've done. Make yourself comfortable around here, I'm sure there is a lot you can contribute.
  3. I'm in......
  4. how bad do you think his @$$ and his back hurts? Damn!
  5. Don, that chrome tray you have in the normal floor shift position of your center console, that wouldn't be a magnetized parts tray you are using is it?
  6. Ibby Baby, I'd like to see a write up on how you rebuilt the tabs. Being that they are so fragile and it's the most common problem with them, I'm sure that would be a DIY we'd all like to see!
  7. But that's just it, Taz's MJ is street only, which is a good thing since it's too nice to tear up. He has a Wrangler for his wheelin'.
  8. I would definitely say go with a tan/sand based camo. That green clashes big time with your new doors and dash. Assuming you get the seats re-covered in tan or camo at some point, that would look pretty nice IMO. But the green camo? No way.............
  9. Touche'. Good point!
  10. Brent, "ASSuming" you are referring to the Sensatracs, they are available for several applications IIRC and they are listed under the Light Truck application on Monroe's website in addition to passenger car models. I don't think that makes it a "car" shock, I would be pretty sure it's the same technology just in a higher capacity shock. In fact, they make a "1 Ton" Sensatrac for certain trucks.
  11. My CRD engine has that setup, I am going to be converting it over to a normal canister setup instead. Just curious, why? :dunno: What are the negatives of the drop in filter element vs. spin on canister style?
  12. It is very good but I don't think it's worth the price. Have you seen the Three Sheets episode where Zane tried it? The price is based on pure supply and demand. It is a VERY limited quantity deal. IIRC, it didn't hit the market until about 5-6yrs ago because it wasn't brought out until Cuervo had their 100yr anniversary............................and it had been sitting in barrels that whole time. I may have to call my sis, but I believe that, believe it or not, is true. Mellowing for 100yrs!
  13. I've always thought, spec wise, that was one hell of an impressive engine and always wanted to drive one or talk to someone who has. Although, at 313hp, I'd say it's not ALL torque. Maybe because it has over 500 ft/lbs of torque!! it seems that way, but HP makes the speed happen.
  14. I sent Jp all the photos that I posted here & was kind of hoping that more of them would make it into the mag , but hey ! , it's a start ! ....I was also thinking that maybe we could get an article about the club in the mag & maybe even make the cover . :dunno: I saw this post when you put it up and then forgot about it. Then last week I was flipping through Jp Mag and I was like "hey, that guy is on CC!!!". Kewel.
  15. You know, I sure am glad people are finally starting to figure out how things works around here LOL! Hornbrod and SW2 have gotten with the program, now I can add you to the list. :brows:  That's a picture that's just fun to look at. Damn shame you live in the north and can't keep 'em out of the elements. Thanks for posting the pics for ALL of us. Me first though!
  16. Welcome, definitely looking forward to as much info as possible on your build and then getting to know you as you, hopefully, jump in the fray.
  17. One of my sister's used to work for Jose Cuervo, give a try to the Traditionale as a shot out of the freezer, pretty good. They're coming out with a new "Silver" that is marketed more towards the cold shot approach, but if you EVER get a chance to try their Reserva De La Familia, @$100 bottle, it is truly incredible. You can actually sip it like a good bourbon or whiskey. Out of the freezer, just cold and smooth........
  18. well that explains me being in the dark a little, i left the industry in 2006. also, my car has a cartridge style filter, in fact i did an oil change on it last weekend. same thing, top load, change the o-ring, no big deal. :dunno:
  19. Get the eff outta here?! And it was sold under the Freightliner badge? I thought Dodge may have done that with theirs when it hit the market. When was the earliest the gas was available? Learn something new all the time. I stand corrected Sir Sam and AMC. Good work!
  20. Ok, backup for a second then. I thought I read on here some time ago when the pic of that nice white one showed up that a 1 ton dually was available from the factory at one time but disappeard almost immediately? :dunno: Lucy, a-pleeze 'splain it to me.
  21. well i assumed i was missing something, and at home it IS slower than it should be. my DSL is SUPPOSED to be able to reach downloads of UP TO 6mbs, or 6000kbs as shown on speedtest.net (although i saved settings to show results in megabits). and the provider will even tell you that that is inconsistent with DSL, more consistent with cable broadband, and very consistent with fiber optic. when they got f/o to my neighborhood a few months ago, i called in for the details. i guess i don't know why i haven't pulled the trigger, because i can actually get the same 6mbs on fiber at the SAME price as DSL, and as they explained it to me, it's basically 6mbs ALL the time, vs. what appears to be "rarely" on DSL. I don't know a ton about this stuff, but i do know it's definitely something that "you get what you pay for". i pay $29 as a bundle price w/our land line so i guess i can't complain. i'm at my office right now and just did a check and the first one was around 1.5mbs but about 5 mins later i did it again and it was at 2.5mbs. We pay for speeds up to 3mbs, so at least within a couple of tests it was bumping up against our capacity. SW2, I assume being the tech guy you are, you either pay a substantial amount (compared to what most people pay) for your speed, or possibly you know how to, uh, "get more for less"? :brows: 20mbs download speed is available through my provider for $95/month, and that ain't happening. i think i may be making the call for fiber this week, because even if I have to pay a set up fee, I should get a true 6mbs, and being that that is @4 times faster than what I seem to be testing at, not only is 6mbs more than sufficient for my needs, it's a no brainer at the same monthly fee. where i get lost though in the tech side of this stuff is where the hardware in our computers is below the capacity of the available speed, if at all. enlighten me...........
  22. I don't know if you knew this, but there was a discussion just going on in another thread about the duallies. first time i've seen the pic of the blue one. i'm pretty sure i've seen the white one before, in addition to the super clean white on posted on the other thread. i wonder if the blue one is an aftermarket kit because the rear fenders have different lines to them than the white one, and the fenders on the white one are identical to others i have seen, so i'm assuming "factory". Oh, and the camper pic is our own "summerinmaine"'.
  23. I think that 5cyl mercedes engine is sleeved too, which would make for fairly easy rebuilds........ course, this is only in reference to the diesel models......who gives a s#!t about the gas versions..... the gas vans i was referring to were your chebby, foe'ds, and dodge cargo van and cutaway/cube vans. you can't get a sprinter van w/gas. not sure if that's what you meant.........
  24. i love that white long bed dually. Talk about "unique and rare"! i will have one. yes, oh yes, i will.
  25. uhhh, ok, what i'm i doing wrong. i click on it and the screen loads, but the program doesn't run?? :wall: **Edit: ok, got it to load. Now I'm embarrassed and ready for a lesson from you tech guys. 1347 download and 426 upload. I have DSL, can't honestly say I remember what level of speed I am supposed to be getting. My provider also offers Broadband and as of about a month ago, fiber optic. **Edit #2: didn't mention on my wife's laptop tonight and on our wi-fi. i assume the wi-fi makes a big difference. i'll go down and try it on our desktop. **Edit #3: about the same results on desktop, i.e. ethernet connection. Beat.
