can you get bfg M/T on moab rims
WahooSteeler replied to comanche13's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
:agree: Patience is the key, and like Fitch said, you have to browse forums and craigslist EVERY day. A member on here probably got the deal of the century on Moabs for $175 for 5 of them. Oh yeah, and the Goodyear MTRs sill on them too! -
Changing Oxygen Sensor?

This just helped explain what one of the unattached plugs under my dash is for, because the timer box is definitely not there. -

I sold my OE wheels from my car on a forum where I had one of the "limited but free" memberships. I was also on there looking for wheels to buy, but I would have had a harder time selling the OE ones if they were not on an enthusiast forum. Once I sold them and bought some new aftermarket wheels, I've pretty much been MIA from that site other than an occasional visit. But I DO understand a situation like this where it's not just some individual trying to unload a few parts or even sell his truck, but a retailer of some sort possibly looking to take advantage of the site. But then again, I still say if that guy has a part that either I can't find or is in better condition than anything I CAN find, and I AM WILLING to pay a premium for it, that's my decision. And jeepco, you're 2 for 2, I agree with you again. I read Eagle's post also and quite frankly that's just simple BS! to say if I have something on eBay or Craigslist that I can't post it here at the same time. The wheels and tires I have in the classifieds right now are also listed on jeepforum and Craigslist. I need to sell them and I should be able to offer them to the largest audience possible.

Aww, come on. It wasn't completely his doing. I pulled the cap off the gas can and left the matches out with the first post. I pretty much knew what would happen. I'll offer up a token of peace. Nice job photochopping goblazers wearing his favorite t-shirt out of the pic

Been sitting back to watch other responses come in before I posted my BNO ("buffalo nickel opinion = worthless). And as rare as it is for me to sit back and watch vs. jumping right in, I actually agree with young Patrick's comments (similar to some others). I think these situations take care of themselves, especially on a smaller tight-knit group site like this one. Point being, if it smells like a rat, it's probably a rat. And almost everyone will stay away from a stinky rat. Either people are going to respond with requests to his posts (likely IMO), or not. If they don't, it'll go away. If they do, then I'm confident that everyone here but Chico ( ) is smart enough to proceed with caution, i.e. notice that he's a new member with 4 posts and that his offer fits the tried and true "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is", meaning he's got 15 MJs to part. If they get a price on something and don't know if it's a good deal, they'll probably post up here and ask if it is. Of course anything that costs more than $5 is too much to most of you guys LOL, so like I said before, it will just go away. Seriously though, how many guys have you seen on here that don't have the luxury of a pick-n-pull nearby and either have to deal with a retail price salvage yard or car-part.com or similar? Point being, I agree that if there is a source out there with a quantity of parts, specific to our somewhat unique vehicle, why run them off because he doesn't want to interact?? What's a matter JT, did he give you some outrageous quote on this un-findable part you need from the Millenium Falcon for your wipers or whatever it was? :shake: *If you would like the Cliff's Notes to this post, please see Mr. Simon's comments. :brows:

What's good in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and western NY?
WahooSteeler replied to JeepcoMJ's topic in The Pub
New River Bridge is something to see alright. There is a rest stop at the end of one side that has an observation deck down and out on the rocks. Gives you a great perspective of how high that sucker is. Too bad it's not the fall, in addition to rafting on the New River year 'round, you can raft the Gauley River which has several Class 5+ and some Class 6 rapids. Considered a world class run by many people. Only runs for a few months in the fall when the Army Corp of Engineers does a release from the Summersville Dam. The put-in is a Class 4 in itself because of the water turbulence caused by the amount of water realeased by the tubes. If you are in to hiking or rock climbing, you can also go to Seneca Rocks in WVa. Plenty to do around Pittsburgh if you'll be in that area, including Heinz Field home of the ONLY 6-TIME WORLD CHAMPION STEELERS! Don't know enough about the rest of PA to offer but plenty of guys on here who can. Upstate NY, can't offer much either unless you go to Old Orchard Beach and see if you can run across Sidd Finch and maybe get an autograph. Hard to believe it was 24yrs ago yesterday that he had his 15mins of fame. -

It pretty much works for me because those wheels are BLAZIN HOT! Damn ol' Chip can draw up some wheels fo' sho'! But as already noted, to finish it out, I'd go with a set of Dubs in that style if they can be had, 45 series rubber like you said, roll pan like TNT, mirror finish black paint, and no doubt you need a brake kit including converting to discs on the rear. -
A mechanic at a volvo/bmw shop I've gone to has a volvo 240 with a small block 400 it it......little bit of a sleeper :brows:

J&W in Antelope is a mecca for Jeeps, and fairly good supply of MJ parts.

Jeff, I assume by the comment that wifeypoo gets the bonus room, she has no part of the garage?? Because, I don't know about your arrangement, but NORMALLY the MAN gets the bonus room to create his man cave. That's why it's called a "bonus room". The wife gets the whole house to do with what she pleases, but if the man wants a room to do something with, it can't be part of the regular house so you get (1) ONE extra room, or bonus room. Then there are certain "automatics" assigned to each member of the marriage. Such as.......master bedroom = wife. Garage = husband. These are non-negotiable. Now, since you are the cook of the house, I assume you had some say in the kitchen so maybe that's why you gave up some of your manhood with the bonus room?

Looks great! I love new construction, just watching it come together. I guess since it's not complete, you couldn't give us the obligatory "what's in the fridge" for all us views here on the triple C..................."Yo Comanche Club Cribs!"

Cool movie, but not exactly one of the classic lines of all time! Not like "Did you see that sheriff? They drove right through our road block!" "You sombitches couldn't close an umbrella".

Lower Door Weatherstrip??
WahooSteeler replied to HOrnbrod's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The only reason I looked at the 97+ ones is because they are a little cheaper (about $2/each). I ordered them online, but they are a discontinued item. So I went to the 1996 and below strips (also discontinued but still plenty around at various dealerships) and ordered them. I should have them in a few days. Gotchya. I checked at wholesalemopar.com and the pre-96 ones they have over 500 in stock!! I assume that's total inventory showing in the system around the country, but good to know. I'll be pursuing a set after you guinea pig them for me. :brows: -
Lower Door Weatherstrip??
WahooSteeler replied to HOrnbrod's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Don, is there a difference between the 97 ones and pre-96 ones or did you look for the 97 ones first because you found them in the parts catalog?
