  1. Not a ton of options out there for the Renix era motors. We've been having good luck with the Dynomax Blackjack headers that also include the downpipe. Borla also made a renix header but last we checked they were NLA.
  2. Actually they are just at $100. We change our gear oil everytime after we go wheeling if our Jeep see's any water/mud. Having the drain plug means we never have to pull the cover off the axle housing. The ARB covers also have a drain plug; but they are closer to the $175 mark.
  3. Or just get a heavy duty cover that has a drain plug in it anyways for a few bucks more.
  4. Hydraulic and gas charged shocks have the same amount of oil, the difference is the gas charge. A hydraulic shock has equal amounts of dampening force in both directions. Gas charged shocks usually are pressurized with Nitrogen. Hydraulic shocks have a tendency to fade as the oil heats up and gets agitated by the shock, creating air bubbles. These air bubbles cause the shocks dampening abilitiy to fade. The nitrogen charge keeps the air bubbles under control, so they can not affect the shocks performance. A gas shock will extend on its own due to the gas charge. General rule of thumb is that hydraulic shocks ride better, nitrogen charged shocks are stiffer, but last longer and don't have shock fade problems.
  5. They are only made in 1 width; 1.25". No it will not hurt anything having the rear a tad wider than the front.
  6. Cut 3/4" off the slip yoke at the transfer case end. If the yoke is bottomed out cut 3/4" off the output shaft on the transfer case itself.
  7. Matt @ LL says that they are not "reusable". It's more of a warranty thing than anything though. We've gotten 3 uses out of them; then they start to leak. They are a quality product though.
  8. ONLY go with Spidertrax or Alloy USA. They are anodized and are hub-centric. You mentioned RC; those are neither. Here are the part numbers that will work on your MJ; Alloy USA - ALY11301 Spidertrax - WHS-002
  9. Yes; 5 on 4.5
  10. It's hard to tell by the pics what type of bushings are in them. You'd have to undo one of the bolts and take a photo for us to be able to tell. Most likely they are a bushing like these; Easily replaceable and cheap. With a few measurements I'm sure we can find you a bushing that will work. Let us know if we can be of any further help.
  11. Are you talking about the fixed length end links for a MJ that are for a 2-3" lift? Like these: We have them in stock...
  12. There were several manufacturers out there that made square control arms that fit the XJ/MJ applications. Clayton Offroad to this day still uses square control arms. Just a FYI; Rubicon Express is closed and is no longer selling products. You'd have to find a stocking dealer that has the RE MJ kit on the shelf to get it. We are one of them and do not have it in stock. There are very few stocking RE dealers out there; and if we don't have it I doubt anyone does....
  13. Hydro shocks HAVE to mount body down. Nitro shocks can mount either way (body up or down).
  14. Smittybilts new electric X20 winches will be out soon. Same great XRC winch but in a waterproof housing.
  15. The difference in length on the LCA's from a 4.5" (16.5") to a 6.5" (17.0") lift is only 0.5" in length in regards to control arms. You can make up a good portion of that 0.5" of length with the factory adjusters/shims on the control arm mounts.
  16. No. Short Beds (SWB) and Long Beds (LWB) have a different upper mounting location though.
  17. Or just buy/build a set of these;
  18. Replied to your PM. I'd buy now if we have it in stock; as there are no promises down the road that they will be available. If it's the RE1600 the heim's are made by QA1 and are easily found; if it's the RE1660 your only option is to get the RE flex joint.
  19.
  20. Don't worry 'MATE it's not Omix. ;)
  21. That's what happens when a large company buys them out (Omix).
  22. Scott? Update: According to Scott as of today, and they have no plans to permanently shut down; though all RE employee's have been laid-off as of yesterday. We're being told that it will at least be 4 weeks; though could be easily upto 4 months. They are simply restructuring some things that will (hopefully) allow them to suit the needs of the off-road community better than ever. Rumor has it that it may involve a very large international offroad company.
  23. Will 100% fit without issues. We sell these to XJ/MJ guys all the time. Just installed a set in a MJ D44 a few months ago.
