  1. Uhm ok... First off, we do NOT use Rough Country coils. The RK coils and the RC coils are NOT the same. The spring rates are about 100lbs different, I'm sure you already knew this... Also, at 6.5" of lift and using short arms your just asking for issues. We use longarms, not short arms. Also the RC kit does NOT come with new brake lines, or bumpstops. It also uses a cheap tracbar that uses the stock mounting bracket. What does RC do to address the steering at that height? A drop pitman arm.... ok if you say so. Ours includes a totaly new steering setup. Remember you get what you pay for. For the added cost of our kit, you get 1) Longarms, 2) 1-Ton Crossover steering, 3) Bumpstops AND new brakelines, 4) A heavy duty tracbar w/bracket. And whoever said "it's $1800", the actual price is $1650. We do not include shocks in the kit for the simple fact that their are WAY to many options for shocks on the market and it's hard to make everyone happy. So we left them out and will let the customer either a) get their own, or B) let us order what they want for them. Don't bash something just to get a sale. At 6.5" you need to address several other issues when it comes to a good setup for suspension. Unfortantly the RC kit does not address many of the needed issues at that height, and you'll end up replacing parts or adding parts to it eventually anyways. On that note, if anyone has any questions about our kit please feel free to PM, email, or call us. We're happy to help and give SOLID advice when needed.
  2. :D http://www.motionoffroad.com/suspension.html You won't find a cheaper/better/bolt-on setup anywhere!. :brows:
  3. See, where hip to. 8) http://myspace.com/motionoffroad Be sure to add us! Be the 1st to know of new products and MySpace only sales! We'll be giving away a $50 Motion Offroad gift card to a lucky MySpace friend this month!!
  4. We get ours from Maxspeed-Motorsports (http://www.maxspeed-motorsports.com/oiladap.html) They are all essentially the same. You need ¾-16 UNF stud.
  5. http://www.teamgrandwagoneer.com/cgi-bi ... uery=vinyl Last item on the page. They don't list a price, you'd need to call them as you can order whatever amount you need.

  7. Any XJ shackle that provides a 1/2 lift on an XJ will bolt right into an MJ and give no lift. Their are several "beefed up" ones available on the market. I just recommend getting one that has the zerk on it so it's greaseable.
  8. You'll need to consider the spring rate of the coil going in. Overall length of a coil is somewhat irrelevant. For instance a RE 3.5" XJ coil and a RE 5.5" XJ coil are only 1/2" difference in overall length.
  9. The Currie setup works on the TJ/LJ/XJ/MJ as they all have the same part number (CE-9701). Why spend the $$ on the Currie setup when you can have a 1-ton crossover setup for $150 less? why spent $249 on yours and keep it under the knuckle? sorry, but that just doesn't make sense to me. Sure it's a bolt in affair, but if I'm upgrading my steering it's going OTK. Going over the knuckle on the pass-side requires a new knuckle and/or a funky bracket that will most likely than be the week point. The TRE's won't fit without hitting the rim otherwise. Not a lot of people want to run a 17" rim to clear them, or a funky offset to eat up the bearings... You could run it's OTK on the drivers side, but than your tie-rod wouldn't be parallel (read bumpsteer). It's a cheaper than most setup that solves a lot of steering issues associated with going over 4.5" of lift. I never claimed it was the best kit available on the market. However it's 1/2 the price of a OTK setup, and a 100% bolt on setup.
  10. I agree, I'll be reusing the bar, but making my own mount similar to the HD mount, new frame side piece and I'll flip the rod end vertical, so I can run it in double shear, and not have it bind. The Rock Krawler has a similar sized end mount. I wonder if the RK mount would work with the RE1600. If I just had a RE1600 in stock (yeah right that won't' ever happen) I'd check...

  12. JKS unit is nice, however it still uses the stock mounting bracket. Plus it only works upto 6" of lift. If you have long arms you'll have issues with it. RE 1600 is junk. The ends on it suck. Uses the stock mount again. We don't even offer it to our customers as we've had nothing but problems with it. RE 1660 (heavy duty one with bracket) is a good setup. We've had good luck with it on our MJ with our 6.5" lift and long arms. Holds up well and the mounting system is total beef. Re offers a brace for the bracket even with this setup. (this is the tracbar we sell with our MJ 6.5" longarm kit) TNT is also another good setup to consider. Comes with a new mount as well. Total beef and uses the RE joint at the end. Only thing I don't like about it is that no brace works/is available for it yet. Works well with longarms as well. Rock Krawler setup is also nice. It's a bit cheaper than the RE or the TNT as well. Includes a new mount. The joint at the end isn't as good as the RE one, but no customers have complained about issues yet as long as they keep it lubed. Works well with longarms as well.
  13. They are now available! Visit our website here for more info: http://motionoffroad.com/catalog/index. ... ducts_id=4
  14. I can't say I know 100% that it's the same wire, but on the XJ's pre '96 if you look under the door sill and tap the green wire with the red stripe and just put a switch on it it will kill power to your fuel pump.
  15. Arn't you awful "tipsy" in an off-camber situation with your shocks setup like that?
  16. Install it inline with your power lead to your fuel pump. Without a fuel pump, they won't get anywhere. ;)
  17. I do not like to use the petcock valve to flush coolant. I've seen to many radiators start to leak at the valve. So if I never have to touch it, I'm fine with that so I don't have to worry about it ever leaking. Undo the bottom hose, drain coolant. Take hose and flush water threw the system. I again am not a huge fan of additives to flush the radiator. Water works just fine...
  18. This is part of the CAD setup. The HO has the thermo switch for the electric fan on the t-stat housing. The Renix setup had it on the radiator. Depending on if your radiator/cooling system was converted to the open system would help determine what exactly the wires are going to.
  19. Says who? RE's 5.5" kit for the MJ includes drop brackets (RE9900). We've sold several of these kits for the MJ and nobody ever said they don't work. We have a local customer who runs this kit and we've wheeled with him several times and have never had a problem with them.
  20. Does Comanche Club have an advertising program available for vendors? If so, would someone from the admin please email us at sales(at)motionoffroad.com with more details.
  21. Thanks for the feedback thus far guys! We are dealers for many manufactures, thus being able to put a good quality "hybrid" kit together. For instance you could chose from RE, RK, RC, Skyjacker etc for a 6.5" front coil. You'd also be able to "upgrade" your tracbar between manufactures as well. We'd do the same with shocks. It would be a COMPLETE kit, you the buyer would be able just choose want components you wanted to use (shocks, trackbar, coil springs, and than offer a few "upgrades"). As far as our cross-over steering. We currently have it on eBay with our introductory price. We do not have it on our website yet as we are waiting to make some updates with some more new products coming out soon (it's cheaper to pay the web design company to do a lot of work at 1 time over paying them for every small item).
  22. We currently are working on some as well. We almost have our shortbed one's finished and will be doing some trail testing with them in the next month or so. Longbed one's are further out, as we are having a hard time finding a longbed local to build a set around.
  23. We are putting together a 6.5" Hybrid longarm lift kit for the MJ's. We are looking for some feedback as to what you, the buyer would be wanting. These kits will be a hybrid kit, built to the buyers specific wants. Basically we are looking for what options you guys want. 1) Do you want different coil options? (Rock Krawler, Rubicon Express, Others?) 2) Do you want different shock options? 3) Do you want different trac bar options? 4) Do you want brakelines included or left out to keep cost lower? 5) Do you want swaybar disco's included or left out with the option to get them to keep cost lower? 6) Do you want our cross-over steering setup as an option as well? We have defiantly done our research and know what parts work well together and what parts do not work well together. We are no stranger to the XJ's and MJ's. It looks like however that the MJ's have little to no options for a quality lift kit, and than you get only whats included and do not have options. As mentioned above, each kit would be built specifically for each customer. We are just curious as to what parts you'd like to have an option of swapping out and what brand of parts you'd like to have the ability to use. Our goal is to offer a 95% bolt on complete longarm kit in the $1500 price range depending on the customer's choices in parts. Thanks in advance for your feedback.
