Fuel Pump Won't Prime After New Injectors.
FxRacing282 replied to 88XJSport's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
if you value not having to re-run wires on the side of the highway then don't do that. it only lets in corrosive elements. disconnect the connector or go into the back of the connector to check for power. -
Urban myth. Yes, it flows through the radiator faster, theoretically droping the temperature of the coolant less. But since it is dropping the temperature of more coolant per any amount of time, it is actually transferring more heat to the air, making the system more efficient. Also, the coolant also flows through the engine faster, which again, won't increase the temperature as much, while transferring more heat per unit time. the only reason to limit water pump capacity is to limit the amount of HP used by it, which will lower your mileage. If I run hotter without a thermostat, then why did every car i have ever owned with a temperature gauge, in which I have temporarily ran without a thermostat for various reasons ran cooler then with. To the point of hardly having any warm air from the heater, and me being able to hold coolant hoses or radiator indefinitely without burning myself. 79 Ford F100: 195 thermostat between 190 and 205. Without thermostat between 150 and 160. 91 Geo Prizm: 195 thermostat up to 195. up to 210 in hot weather stop and go with A/C blowing. Without thermostat ~120. 94 Suburban: 195 thermostat between 185 and 205. Without thermostat between 160 and 165 87 Comanche: 195 thermostat between 190 and 210. Without thermostat between 150 and 165. Also had an 84 Olds 98, an 82 LeBaron and an 81 Caprice. Never ran the Olds without a thermostat and the other two had idiot lights. My data does not support the flawed theory. :smart: :clapping:

no it would still work the same I'm pretty sure. abs dosent care what way your going. it just cares about keeping the wheels from locking up.

maybe a general inspection of the flywheel to check for gnarly teeth?
-
okay. older cars and trucks didnt have an over flow bottle. so that is ka-put. I'm pretty sure you need to do a head gasket. you oculd be warped to make sure. a 4.0 is allowed .006 of an inch of warpage. you can check this with a known accurate straightedge and a feeler guage. Hopefully its not warped. the other problem. as i have learned from all the awesome guys on here and in school is that when you run an engine with no t-stat. it will most likely never heat up. and its gonna run like crap. you can get a rad. cap at autozone or vip or whatever that has a temp guage on the top of it for like $15. ive always wanted one but can't justify spending $15 on a cap. for you it may be a good idea.

after market stereo? sometimes a wire can come loose and cause lights to not work. happened to me once. then i used halfa roll of tape to ensure it would not happen again.

what i have use when taking these bolts off is those little magnets from computer harddrives they are super strong and i have not lost any bolts using this yet just a thought btw tape it on the extension or socket :brows: they are a pain in the @$$ to get the off the truck or other parts magnets off 10'' sub woofers are pretty strong too :smart: -
well if they work then why replace them? right?

What be this electrical thinger?
FxRacing282 replied to DirtyComanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
no..... this is the flux capacitor.. fail.fail.fail........ I think its the control box for the suction cup on a stick that you shoot out behind a transfer truck on the highway, so the truck can pull you down the road.. What it does is shoots a toilet plunger on the back door and is connected to a high tensile Spiderman web strand. Fully organic, nearly invisible, and mostly indestructible until it receives an ion pulse from the control box and the strand completely disintegrates into a molecular goo. At least thats what I think,,, but I know for hell sure it anit no d@mn flux capacitor.... geeezzzzzz i gotta look for one of those on my truck  -
my truck did that. then it stopped. :dunno:
