you could try a STANT thermostat. but i don't think its a t-stat problem. is your heater core hoses in the stock location? -
VACUUM problem please help

there is a 210 degree block in your cab less than 3 feet from you. heat transfers through plastic -
my toyota, i can take the key out while driving. no biggie, BUT, if your colum is coo-koo i tend to find up here in the rust best is poor grounds and more poor grounds. say do you have an aftermarket sterao? i had a similar problem with mine and it turned out to be a wire shorting on the dash for the radio.

i think you will have some serious camber & castor issues with that low of a drop. i suppose you could get some stiff shocks to improve handling. any idea on witch and height of the coils? just did some on my clamaro, about 15'' tall and 6'' or so wide. only cost me $70 or something like that at napa.

X2. and as far as fluid checking, its shop policy where i work that every time an oil change is done transmission and transfer case fluid is checked for fullness and wear. its a great way to ensure longer life and only take 2 maybe 3 minutes? after a few times you will probably even remember the size bolts and plugs.

heater vacuum line where can i buy one
FxRacing282 replied to comanche13's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
yeah get the rubber crap. if you really care and whatnot i suppose you could use brake line and use rubber hose aout 2'' long for connectors. but its not worth it imho if your not gonna have the truck for a long time. -

VACUUM problem please help
FxRacing282 replied to comanche13's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
although if you do have it i would keep it. i always thought ey were garbage and stupid until this summer i was cruising down the road windows open and whatnot but there was always a heatercore in my truck that was 160. (itll be like 210 for you) therefor my truck was always hot on the inside. its a luxury that i think if you got it keep it working. -
sbc cooling with stock rad questions
FxRacing282 replied to jbhill's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
good suggestion. if you can't afford ceramic headers like myself, exhaust tape will work good enough. -
well its a 4.0, they only sound so nice. but it might, and you wouldnt hit the powerband until like 4k maybe 5k. so youd be trying to crawl a log and you would be bakin the torque converter or making glass on the clutch.

2X. I'm having the same problem trying to get a hose for my 87 camaro v8 motor swap. -
tranny torque mount? you can use a dial indicator and check your rotors. .005 is spec and minimum thickness is .89 and .86 (4wd/2wd). you can take a jack and start jacking up joints and see what ones crush. personally, i had this problem with my truck. i put a new axle in it (fried pinion bearings) and it went away. blew the steering stabilizer, it came back. so there is a really a long list of things. just start checking them all and ask us if you have any questions.

removing axle tubes from dana 60
FxRacing282 replied to btrjeep's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
yeah you grind the weld so that it does not contact the tube from the knuckle. yes the weld does go "deeper" but if you grind whats holding then it all hitting from there. -
i wouldnt think its that low. maybe 150's on a new motor - 227K = 120ish.. maybe?

best tool for trimming fenders
FxRacing282 replied to james750's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
it all depends on what you feel comfortable using. i would use a sawz-all. but... i would defiantly use my die-grinder with a blade on it for small places with little room behind to cut. -
Turns over....won't start, PLEASE help.
