  1. You know Jim, for years I've wanted to see that woody trim on an MJ.

  3. I'm not denying that this new "fad" of shooting up schools is terrible, but what the general public needs to realize, is that bad things happen. They happen all the time, they have happened all the time. If these people keep getting their way, in a few short generations, the US is going to get the $#!& invaded out of it, because we won't be able to defend ourselves. These shootings keep happening because the shooter gets an insane amount of media attention. Do any of these people have children? What happens when you tell a child they can't have something? They only want it more, to the point of only wanting it because you said they can't. They need to be shown that it exists, and told about why it's wrong, not be hidden from it.

    Check my sig.
  5. I don't know, I think it's easier to explain away purchases on a card at stores than a bunch of large ATM withdrawls..
  6. Even if you could pop the wheel off and put it on with it straight, that wouldn't straighten the steering box, and you'd be able to steer more one way that the other. The turnbuckle is there for this purpose. It's easy enough to straighten it after the alignment's done(which you can also easily do yourself).
  7. It does seem to take a lot longer to process a new thread than just a reply, so I'm guessing it's just people being impatient with today's supposed-to-be-instant internet.
  8. Is there some kind of bug that's making topics do multiple posts? I swear, every morning I get on here, and there's at least one topic that's popped up 2-3 times. Or is it that people are just being impatient and slamming the post button a lot? The shoutbox has an antiflooding feature, would is be possible to make users have to wait a certain amount of time between posts? Say, 45-60 seconds?
  9. Too true.
  10. Your best bet is going to be finding an HP D30, regardless of year, with 4.10s, and upgrade the shafts in that. It's going to be cheaper than regearing your current axle.
  11. You can choose to block their sig altogether, or, if you have adblock plus for FF, you can create a custom filter just for that image so it doesn't load it. I think in order to automatically resize, the pictures would have to be hosted here. I do recall the old software having a limit, though.
  12. The bushing/bearing you need is for a 74 CJ with a 304.
  13. Yes, you can. I did it for awhile, the truck didn't even have the linkages or a front driveshaft installed, so I couldn't accidentally throw it in 4x4. What's .10 gearing? Why are you disregarding the 91-95 D30?
  14. I'm 25, and have no idea what it is either. I'm aware of it, but go out of my way to avoid it. Did the same thing with that Rebecca Black thing and Gangnam Style.
  15. Intake ports were moved a bit, basically canceling out any performance gains from the head itself. To see anything with an HO head on a Renix block, you'd need the HO intake as well, or get the ports matched. IIRC, the restrictive aspects are going to be the terrible Renix intake, and possibly any exhaust issues. I'd worry about those before tackling the head.
  16. You can bleed in the truck, but the externals must be removed from the bellhousing, and kept compressed during the bleed. There's a special tool for it, but you should be able to use half an exhaust clamp and a metal rod.
  17. Could probably be saved in the right hands, but he's asking too much I think.

Sounds like a pretty good score. Rust free is much more important than the rest... it's easy enough to swap stuff in. Welcome to the club!
  19. We're gonna need pictures... the internal slave and bearing should be one piece and not separable. Are you sure the grinding isn't clutch and/or fluid related? A bad slave can cause grinding issues.
  20. Pull all the memory out and put it back in, make sure it's ALL the way in. If just one pin on one stick isn't connected properly, it won't want to turn on. They really don't like stuff being plugged in while running. Take an ohmmeter to the power pins on the HD, make sure neither the hots are shorted to ground.
  21. That definitely explains the double post. Nice catch Jim.
  22. Is there any way you could test out one of these power supplies in another computer? It seems really unlikely that it would be behaving this way on two power supplies.
  23. Is this a 4.0 or 2.5? If it's a 2.5, it could be the tensioner - which isn't easy to find, and last time I bought one, it cost more than a chain.
  24. Wait... so you had an issue with it not turning on, so you added more hardware, including a newer, perhaps better PS, then you took that out and put the old one back in? Pete, your logic escapes me.
  25. Why'd you swap out the power supply? I'd target that as the culprit.
