  1. It's not this trans is out of my old Cherokee I pulled it cause it was grinding lol. Just trying to get the manche moving. I will take some pictures when I get home
  2. Oh and this motor and trans is only temporary cause the motor only runs on 5cylinders and the trans grinds in 2nd and 3rd pretty bad so I have another 4.0 almost rebuilt and I'm workin on finding a new trans I just need to get the truck going cause I'm moving soon
  3. So my jeep has been apart for around 8 months and I'm workin on finishing things up. I went to put the internal slave back in and noticed there was no bearing it.. there was a bearing on my seat and went to put that on the slave but didn't quite work only let the slave move in and out about half an inch lol. So I'm trying to see where I can find just the bearing cause. The slave looks brand new and I'm not buying a clutch kit cause every thing was working excellent before I did the tear down. Just some how misplaced the bearing between now and 8 months ago lol
  4. I would love to get a cell but I killed my pockets with the motor rebuild so I'm trying to do what I can with little money and I need to get this back on the road by the 28th cause I'm moving so I might just ratchet strap the stock tank in the bed just for the move(there will be a quad sitting on top of it too) then pick a tank up when I get the truck to my new place. Just need to fix my drunken cuts I made on the bed and I will be set:D Oh and cherokees do not have a "drive line tunnel thing" lol I know I've dented quite a few lol
  5. Got a little more done on the truck today. Cut the bed down a bit. Probably shouldn't have had a few drinks while doing it kinda didn't cut straight lol. Still need to cut the bed down a few more inches and then add some metal to the front to straighten it out then I will weld it back together
  6. Excellent I was trying to figure out how I was gonna bolt it down and that answered it lol good thing I have extra angle iron
  7. Yea I saw that. Might go that route I just cut the bed down I need to do a little more cutting before I can weld it together. I might steal my brothers tank off the parts Cherokee
  8. I'm trying to figure out where to mount my tank because I moved my leaf mounts about 12" forward and am chopping the bed. It's a long bed I was thinkin about choppin a hole in the bed and bolting it down but one of the corners are folded. My question is can I bend that corner flat I know it comes like that from the factory that's why I'm asking
  9. Almost forgot the pic of the front spring perches on the truck
  10. Bed off getting ready to cut the perches Stripping the interior to make sure there wasn't any rust in the floor boards Very minor rust:) all surface so imma sand it down and bed line the whole truck The new motor The good side before o started stripping it. Oh and the cam is pn 231-4
  11. So here's the skinny on the jeep I got it over a year ago from a buddy of mine for $650! He had gotten side swipped by a chick with no insurance and being to nice he let her go so its not the straightest body but it will work for my plans:) so when my friend got it it was running like it had a giant cam in it we pulled the head off to find out that the person before him that rebuilt the motor had over heated it and cracked a piston. The jeep runs fantastic off idle though with a slight blue.cloud of smoke behind it. But still has more power then any of the jeeps I've been in(all 91+) so enough with the background. I picked up a motor out of a friend's jeep that fought fire...which used to be mine. The motor had 160k on it when I pulled it out of the 96 Cherokee the fire department decided to stick their hose down the intake for what ever reason and fill it up with water. So I rebuilt the motor bored it .040 over and I'm sticking a comp cam 232-4 In it. Still waiting on my keepers for it to throw it together. Anyways back to the manche. It's a 91 long bed 4wd 5speed 4.0 my intention was to chop the whole rear frame off and truggy it but my pockets aren't deep enough for that right now.so what I'm doing is moving the axle forward around 12-13 inches then chopping the bed down and throwing it back together so far what I have done is the bed is off the perches are off and I moved the front spring perches where I want them and welded them up I'm waiting tell next week to set the shackle angle and burn the hangers on I will be updating this as much as possible
