  1. Yep, they work. Check out page 5 of my build-up thread here -> viewtopic.php?f=7&t=8051&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=60
  2. I picked HOO STLR - it's you  . BIG ENUS sounds like you are compensating for a small " :brows: enis". I think very few would get the movie reference.
  3. The most incredible use of smilies I have ever seen - bravo. Funny as Shiite to boot! "you stop scrubbing the dirty dishes" :clapping:
  4. Are you f'ing kidding me  . How is that open to the public? I need to seriously relax after watching that - my chest hurts from the anxiety attack.
  5. I just took them off my 89 LWB. Let me know if you are interested - Rich
  6. "89' COMANCHE SPORTRUCK . . . 23 tires" From what I am reading in your sig - you have an eighty-nine foot MJ with twenty-three tires  . Just busting your chops :rotfl2: . Congrats on the new truck! - Rich
  7. I would be in for a few, but I am not sold on if :dunno: either of the two colors will go with heather?
  8. Very sorry to hear that :( . Don't know if this may help, but Gear Head Performance just bought up all the AE {Automotive Engineering http://www.southernperformance.com}locations. You may want to give them a call? Yhey are not in GA, but it could hold you over for a while. Hang in there - good things are right around the corner. - Rich
  9. That is some good advice ~ as I run out to check on mine
  10. Thanks, I really like it. I don't know if Mike from Protofab has decided on what the final price of the bumpers will be. You should check out his web site -> http://www.protofab4x4.com. I believe the price will be inline with their XJ bumpers. - Rich
  11. I test fit the bumper yesterday - it is awesome. I just wanted to post a few pictures of the test fit and placement. After I have it painted I will do the install write-up. You can see how the side protection has been extended -> It even has a spot for my High-Lift jack ->
  12. No problem, vzehler. I love the lift. I have used several lift kits on my CJ's before I got the 4.5'' RE extreme duty kit. After enjoying the ride and flex of that kit, I was sold on the product. I have not experienced any bump steer, no wandering, or any death wobble at all. I have driven it to work 5 or more times since installing the lift. It is about a 70 mile round trip drive, a majority of it at 70+ mph - it is just amazing. It rides better than it did before the lift. My only complaints are associated with the installation of the new front 44. Looking back on it now, it was worth the few troubles. The front Dana 44 is the housing that is used on the TJ Rubicon. I have a good friend who works at Gear Works here in Florida, so it was it was a brand new housing. I just need to fine tune my shocks. I believe that I have one of the front shocks set on a different setting  . I do not have my front drive shaft in as yet, so I have not been able to test it off road. Let me know if you have more questions, or if you need more specific answers. I will be happy to answer them. - Rich
  13. Great to meet you as well  . That place was amazing and we had a great time. The tall guy that was with us - he called me today and said that our next project should be a rock crawler. I am going to talk the guy around the corner from me to see if I can steal his MJ. I would like to turn it into our next project. No matter what, we are going next year with a jeep set up for the rocks . By the way, I love my hat. Thanks - Rich
  14. It's yours!
  15. Thanks, but don't be so quick to put yours down  . I do plan on using it for a recovery point - unless I can be persuaded that it in not in my {or others} best interests; safety wise. I will be using all new grade 8 harware, and it doesn't apear to be any less supported than the U-haul hitch I have on there now. I will contact Mike and ask him about the class rating on these bumpers next week. - Rich
  16. I had my front bumper shipped from them to FL. It cost me $97 to ship and I am sure it weighs more than the rear one will. EDIT: I take that back...just went and looked at the site and the Cherokee bumpers shown range between 94 - 104 lbs...my front is 96 lbs... Mine was shipped UPS ground - three pieces total. If I remember correctly, I think it was going to be $140? Don't quote me on that, because Mike was kind enough to send it out using my UPS account number. Shipping should be cheaper without the tire carrier. BLHTAZ, do you remember a company in CLW/StPete called Alert Bumper? I ask because I am sure you deal with a lot of part suppliers, and I seem to recall them doing metal plating. They may be able to help out hornbrod.- Rich
  17. Looks like the Graf Zeppelin, mein Herr! BTW Anyone know the difference between the Graf Zeppelin and Rush Limbaugh? One's a flaming Nazi gasbag. The other is just a dirigible. :brows: I had to look up dirigible
  18. :jump: I guess anything is possible - funny
  19. The site is back up now . I believe the price will be inline with his XJ bumpers - Rich
  20. I wish the site was up - they offer the those as upgrades on their XJ bumpers. I see no reason why they would not be offered on the MJ bumpers - same base design. I did look at adding those on, but I decided agaist it. I wanted a smoother look, and in my opinion it made the bumper look to busy. I could be wrong, it may not look that way in person :dunno:
  21. Yeah, it looks like the site is down. I figured I would post it up because it is bound to come back online. Yes, the bumper was offered to me without the swing-out tire carrier. I chose to get it because; it can be easily removed, and I did not want to regret not getting it later. To be honest, I originally did not want it. After staring at the picture for hours, it grew on me :D .
  22. I have been working on Mike at ProtoFab to make some sliders for the LB MJ for a while now. I happened to mention to him that I would love to get one of his RockSolid Rear XJ Bumpers modified to work on a MJ. Today my friends - as the Maverick would say - I got my bumper . I ordered the newly redesigned RockSolid XJ rear bumper specially fabricated to work on the jeep MJ pick-ups. I had mine upgraded to include a swing out spare tire carrier, and side extensions to my specifications. We officially have another rear MJ bumper option! Here is a picture of the prototype bumper until I get my own mounted up -> Here is what I found when I got out of a meeting today-> Unwrapped -> These supports are a work of art -> Working off the original design, I had Mike modify the sides of the bumper by extending them out to the back of the rear taillights - for more protection -> I am not sure if Mike will be using this on all future bumpers or not? I just thought it was an improvement that I would be willing to pay for. I added the spare tire carrier option on mine -> Thick steel and reinforce on the inside -> It is late - for me, so I will have to update my progress as I go along. In the mean time, be sure to check out Mike’s web site http://www.protofab4x4.com , and don’t forget to tell him that we need Rock Rails for our trucks!
  23. I have been working on Mike at ProtoFab to make some sliders for the LB MJ for a while now. Well, I mention to him that I would also like to get one of his RockSolid Rear XJ Bumpers modified to work on a MJ. Today my friends - as the Maverick would say - I got my bumper . I passed on the first one {another lucky CC member picked it up} because I wanted some custom work done to mine. We officially have another rear MJ bumper option! Here is a picture of the prototype bumper until I get my own mounted up -> This thing is very heavy duty, and I am extremely impressed with the quality. I will be updating my build-up thread with all the progress pictures -> http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopi ... &start=120. Be sure to check out Mike’s web site http://www.protofab4x4.com , and don’t forget to tell him that we need Rock Rails for our trucks!
  24. Correction; Your truck needs a ball with, or without an extra port ;)
