  1. “Little strokes fell great oaks” - Benjammin Franklin, so I try to tackle a small project a week. Sweet Amazon has got 4 Nilight LED spotlights and a four-lead wiring harness with relay/fuse. I took the rack off the Comanche’s topper and brought it back home. The holes for the mounting bolts were already drilled for the lights I had on it before. It looks great with those lights on it -> TBC – Rich
  2. Thanks Smokyyank. Not to sound ignorant, but what is MDF board? How thick can I fit behind the panel? I definitely don’t want it to make unwanted noise.
  3. Did a search, but couldn’t find an answer. I have a kicker powered subwoofer box. It’s a bit heavy, but I still would like it on the back panel behind the seat. Will putting this 1/4” plywood on the back be enough to support it? Any other things I should consider?
  4. Nicely done
  5. Wow - some of those left me speechless.
  6. Very nice ! Congratulations on the MJOTM
  7. Fun read Came with one of my 86’s and I thought it would be nice to hold onto.
  8. But it was still a good day!
  9. My bumper and brush guard look horrible. Surface rust and faded finish. Nothing too bad but it does look like crap -> While removing the bumper off the Comanche I snapped off one of the rusted bolt sending my knuckle into the lower bumper steel. Apparently the mechanic heard me lighting the parking lot with a slew of obscenities and came over to find out what happened . He looked at the cut and said I should go get it checked out. Nah, just went into my tool bag and pulled out the duct tape. Wrapped up the knuckle and returned to removing the bumper. It actually hurt worse taking the tape off because it pulled open the flap of skin again -> If my day couldn’t get any worse, I managed to roll into a fire ant mound . I swear those bastards waited to get their ranks in position before the launched their coordinated attack. By the time I was able to roll out from under the Jeep, they had lit me up good. I hate them with a passion. If I could, I would magically remove them from existence along with the mosquitoes that kill 1 million people each year. It was well worth it in the end -> TBC Rich
  10. I just happen to have just the passenger side factory seat bracket -> $75 plus you send me a shipping label. I will get you the box dimensions and I’ll box it up and ship it out
  11. I’m looking forward to see what you come up with.
  12. I do like the bobbed look . Where did you get the front bumper?
  13. Welcome - I would love to see more pictures of the flat bed
  14. This is so cool. You have to post pictures of your adventures in this
  15. I haven’t seen another new Comanche in over several years. I’ve seen two in the last 3 weeks . Took a picture of the one at Just Jeeps -> I hope to get a picture of the other one if I get the chance to. Supposedly there have been a lot of customers asking about mine and if I would sell it .
  16. Welcome to the Comanche Club. Excellent! Great price you got it for. Do you have plans for it?
  17. More emblems I picked up at the Pasco EZ pull it -> I had hoped the blue interior was the right color, but it was the Smurf blue color . I saw some cool valve stem covers on a Jeep and for under $5 I ordered a set of five. They will probably be stolen, but that is just karma for “borrowing “ them off cars as kids ->
  18. Wire wheel and some paint
  19. Yes, seeing the girls playing in the jeep reminds me of my son swinging from the roll bar in the CJ. Great memory. Congratulations
  20. I’ve got the winch off the Cherokee and ready to go on the winch cradle. I already have a 2 gage jumper from my battery to the front of the Jeep to use with the quick connect plug on my jumper cables. Now I needed a cable with the quick connect plug to come off of the winch, so I can quickly take the winch off and on. This got me thinking I should do something for the rear - it would be really nice to be able to hook the winch cradle on the back bumper . Found this jumper cable kit on Amazon. It has the 5 foot jumper lead with connector on the end and another 25 foot cable with quick connection on one end and battery clamps on the other. It’s all 2 gauge as well. My plan is to run the 25’ cable to the back of the truck so the winch will be able to hook up to power. I will have to cut off the clamps to length and then clamp some lugs to mount up on the battery. I did a quick measurement on the distance from the back to the battery in front. I had it measured to about 20’. The kit that comes with 5’ jumper, 25’ jumper cables, gloves, wire brush and case ->
  21. I like the look of that
