It is something I love and I would not ask her to give up anything I knew she was passionate about. I think I will be telling her exactly this when we have the "talk".

That is so funny . Only thing you might call a hobby is growing plants and gardening. That would be a great question to ask her!

Hopefully cost me nothing. Just don't want them to break down to have the conversation of reliability. I actually have the 2011 Explorer to drive. She has the really nice car that she tools around in. My son loves them. A truck is so handy to have. Yes, who cares if I have the backup car. I really don't see the logic or reason to want them gone. I did unfortunately make the mistake of how much the CJ8 were fetching these days.

I'm embarrassed to even bring this up, but I need good reasons to keep my jeeps. It's not what you think - I want to keep them. My wife came to me last week and said I want you to seriously consider selling both the CJ and Comanche. "You should have something reliable and under 5 years old". No way can I let that happen. I never had reliability issues with the Comanche, but maybe I have blocked out anything that had happened? Well, there was one real freak incident when the axle shaft broke after pulling off the exit - had been going 70 mph right before. The XJ unfortunately killed the idea of reliability in her eyes. Justifiably so though. Broke down and had to be towed into the shop at least once a month, but it was a $270 dollar Jeep. I have to be honest, it has me paranoid about this happening with the Comanche. I have had the CJ since the early 2000's. And I've been here with my Comanche right before it rolled over from the yahoo platform. I need to come up with good reasons to why I shouldn't sell them. Here what I have so far - they are paid for. I love them is not enough. I do have the Explorer as a backup too. Desperate for reasons to convince her that I keep them and not just NO.

The Barnes 4wd kit. If it actually lifts the axle up towards the fender I could use that to level out the CJ.

If I'm reading this correctly, it will raise the axle up .25"? I am asking because I "need" to raise the axle in the scrambler a bit in the rear to level it out. I don't like how it sits with the arse end up like that. I've been trying to figure out how to do this?

They can be rebuilt?! That is good to know.

New habitat. 89 MJ - I don’t think I could afford a Scrambler at what they are going for these days. JZLAJeep thanks. There was a time when I was looking for one, but would be a challenge to get it off and on. We like to roll topless down here. So cool to see one though

I finally got around to towing the CJ8 up to the new place.Took the 4 hour drive to its new home. I was following the tow truck the last 30 minutes watching the license plate flapping in the wind. It was hanging on by only one bolt. I figured if it hadn’t flow off in the last 3.5 hours, it probably wasn’t going too . In the new spot in the garage->

The Scrambler made it to the new home. Only 232 mile ride on a flat bed truck - sitting in her new home -> Enough headroom to keep the soft top up getting into the garage

Heck yeah . Prices yet?
