  1. Excellent - something I would love to do myself. Will be following
  2. We Love pictures
  3. That is what I was trying to find - thank you
  4. Thank you! Makes sense. . .
  5. I’ve been on here so long that I remember you telling us why you go by Mini Beast
  6. Now what should I use to attach them on to the old housings??
  7. Got these bueats in last week -> I started to remove the old lenses from the housings. The first one I did did not go as well as the second one. I ended up breaking some small sections of the black plastic.-> The lenses didn’t fair to well either -> I will try and repair the damage with some JB weld in the morning. I’m not sure this will be noticeable with the lense on or not anyway? Other than that they came off quickly->
  8. I plan on doing a lot with my son and the Comanche. I have wheeling and camping in the works for us. The topper may be our substitute tent if I can fit a blow up mattress between the wheel well humps? I will be measuring that up the next time I’m at the mechanics. I just found out that, with the new digital thermometer, I actually enjoy grilling out! I was hoping to get a small bbq grill to bring with us on the camp outs. I was at Jeeptoberfest a few years ago and saw a guy tailgating with a hitch mounted grill. I completely forgot about that until I was just going through my old pictures. Though it’s not the exact brand, I was able to track one down from Hitchfire - https://hitchfire.com/products/f-20 They had them on Amazon, but they were having a 20% off a drivers side swing out grill on their site. Now that I don’t have to answer to anyone, I pulled the trigger on it! Haven’t unboxed it yet, but it is the coolest non essential accessory I can attach to the MJ -> I also ordered their grill cover. It was $58 shipped to me , but I knew it would be a perfect fit. It wasn’t worth it to me to try to find one that might be a close fit, or impose on my tent buddy to make one. Got it unpacked It is well built, so I’m pretty happy 10/9/24 Hitchfire has a 5 lb propain tank with a cover for their growler tank -> It’s $100 on the web site but they sent me one for free! No heads up or reason, but it was a great surprise. I had to get the splitter line to get it to work, but it was cheaper on Amazon than theirs.
  9. Got them and they are purdy
  10. And imagine how much more they would cost. That’s a partner you want there for you
  11. 😂great points! Problem fixed . I’ve just moved back from my dream property to keep my Jeeps. That was just the tipping point really. At least I get to keep half my stuff! The Jeeps aren’t worth anything on paper, so the “unreliable junk” is all mine.
  12. I just ordered a set of the lenses now! I am hoping for a successful install. Make me nervous though. I have MYE Jeep’s write up that I will follow though
  13. Edit - I found the write up and had even replied to it . I am just tired and need rest lol
  14. Definitely too late. I have an 98 XJ motor already in it. I used the Renix flywheel and fuel rail. Then one did of accessories is HO and the other is Renix. I also have an adapter to control the carb using the Renix TPS. The donor XJ is there, so it’s all coming out of it.
  15. Thank you. I knew they strobed but I thought they also acted as fog and off-road lights. I should power it up and test them
  16. Thank you Gojilra94. Damn I hope he knows this stuff. Again, I will make up a list of questions for him in the morning. I will get with him next week about the list. Will keep you all posted on this journey. I do wish I had asked earlier. Hopefully it all works out in the end
  17. 😂 like having a truck
  18. The edges of my taillights are cracking off. They must have been tossed around when they were being unloaded . For those of you who purchased these, what is your opinion on them? They now want so much money at the junk yards that it justifies the cost
  19. Nothing really new on the MJ front. Looks like we’ll be putting in the OBDII system out of, I think I heard correctly, an 96 XJ. Have a topic in the MJ Tech forum about it. I did pick up my new Jeep parts hauler lol -> My wife hasn’t seen it yet - 4 hours away from home
  20. I will keep you updated as much, as my son says “smooth brain” can grasp. I will make a list and discuss with him these questions. Tone ring? Is that the teeth on my manuals fly wheel? The wiring harness that came out of the xj is also being used. will my gauge cluster work with the system?
  21. I should have came to you guys earlier. I won’t make that mistake again
  22. I know . I was convinced to just go Renix. I think he said 96.
  23. Great . I expect him to get that all figured out. I just want it done at this point. I think it was dropped off last April.
  24. The decision has been made for me. It is the OBDII out of a 96 XJ going into the truck. The harness and computer have already been purchased and the Renix harness removed. I had agreed to the swap before having second thoughts. Understandably my fault. I’m feel a little better knowing it’s the OBDII though.
