Diving into to work today, I thought about this post. I almost hit a woman, with the car, when she darted out into traffic to save the Snapping turtle that looked just like the one CW posted a pic of. I guess, the turtles life was worth more then hers? It was funny watching "Snappy" pop of one of her fingers in rear view mirror :brows: Got to love a woman with 9 digits

"just drop a (name engine here: 4.0, 3.4, 2.8, v8 ) in it." lol. Are you worried about the possible gains being choked off by the stock emmisions/fuel system? From my understanding, the Renix system is very forgiving. You may want to increase the fuel pressure and step up to a bigger TB if going with the suggested mods.

Wow, you have done a lot to the MJ  The last time I saw your build-up page, you were modifying your rollbar. I think that was in Oct!? Jeeze, I need to get out of tech a little bit more - Rich

Yeah! See, I like the look of that. Great minds think alike CW ;) I did not want to risk screwing up the originals, so I picked up a pair of all black latches from a cherokee to practice on. I like the way they came out, so I will stick with them - Rich

I look at it as giving me time to get everything I want/need to have it finnished :brows: . It is a long tale ~ I have known the guy forever, and he gave me a deal?? He started to prep the MJ when he found out he needed brain surgery. Survived, and had to go back in for another surgery on his noggin. Doctors did not think he was going to make it through another surgery. He is fine now, but he lost everything he had to pay the medical bills. It hasn't been an issue, because I still have the Ford. Oh, and the number one reason it has been over a year; I paid him up front. Sweet, more speakers - Rich
-
Yeah, I have seen the vents. I thought they were air vents. I will have to check them the next time I am visiting my Comanche. How much room is behind there, enough to fit some bigger speakers? Thanks, Rich

Thanks! Oh, the lower dash panel tweeter grilles, yeah thats the ticket. Alright you got me, where are those at??? It may not be the best location for them?? I just don't have my MJ around, so I can't sit, and daydream in it, about my next "Mod" as I would like to. I am working with what I have here at home ;)

Try going with MJ, it helps ;) Don't feel bad, I can't spell Cheroke

I ordered a sound system for the Comanche assuming that someday I will get it from the paint/body shop - 0ne year and counting . Some time back, I noticed that a creative MJ'er on here had installed some tweeters where the window/door lock switches would be located. Well, I stole the idea. I ordered a new stereo and some Blaupunkt speakers that were 70 something off. Then I cut out the the holes with a hole saw, and then cleaned up the rest with a file. Next, I painted over the offensive silver color of the tweeter cups. Here is a before and after shot of the project. I just need my MJ to install them into . To say I am happy with the results would be an understatment :D . Thanks again to ??? @ComancheClub.com for the idea - enjoy Be-Fo After

Really? I found the search option very helpful, and user friendly. I am in no way bashing your opinion on NAXJA. I just think NAXJA is the Shiznit. I love the CC community, and this is the only place I get involved in. I only use NAXJA for research, and they have yet to dissapiont me. I will have to check out Pirate like Pinpong suggested. Let the flaming begin :brows:

Thanks for the help, guys. I went down this morning {I think I saw rdp001 silver comanche} and picked up the slave set up. I also took the vin# off of the XJ. The vin decoder says it is an 1994, so the guys at LQK marked it wrong. Thanks again, Rich

I went to the pick-n-pull and found an 1993 XJ with the AX15/231. The 231 was destroyed, so I grabbed the input shaft out of it. I just assumed the tranny was an external slave AX15 and decided not to pass it, and the input shaft up. I got home a started reading that the external did not start until 94. I have never seen pictures of the differences between the internal and external slave cylinders. Here is a few pictures so that somebody can tell me if it is indeed an external slave AX15. If it is an external, should I go back and grab the complete slave assembly? TIA Rich

Uhm, are we all just going to ignore this? Lol, do we need to have an intervention? I don't drink based on my fuel consumption, I drink to forget a bad clown experience  -

The hellcats are 8.5 wide, and the Walker Evans. Thanks for all the input.
