  1. Sweet, another Florida Comanche. I am in the clearwater area, so I will keep an eye out for you. You didn't happen to have some work done at gear works?-Rich
  2. Just waiting to put mine in. Grant steering wheel on a new tilt column.
  3. I removed the cover from the lock :D . It appears that the spring that controls the hole cover broke off and was blocking the way  . The key works but I am going to need a new cover. Thanks for input, Rich
  4. The lock itself is messed up. The key will not go into it and parts are rattling in the lock. WD40 aint gonna fix this. I removed both locks fron the doors.-Rich
  5. I never locked the doors on my Comanche or looked at the door locks when I bought it. When the paint shop said they could not lock the DS door, I was shocked. It looks pretty messed up and useless. Does anyone know where I can get new door lock from? I went to the pick-n-pull to get another set but they do not have the keys in the cars :headpop: Maybe I can have them repaired? Thanks - Rich
  6. I would do as Pingpong suggested and go through a RE dealer. With my 5.5 RE MJ kit, I got the Adj upper and lower control arms and cross member support. With the shipping it still was lower than the 300 off retail. Try DC4WD.com before you make your decision - Rich
  7. I have got one on my MJ right now. It is a functional cowl hood, so it reduces engine compartment temperatures. I never like the way some of the XJ owners used one+ inch spacers to raise the rear of the hood up to get the same effect. It has the same lines as the original hood and the same mounting holes. The hood looks pretty tough on the truck to boot. The down sides - It is damn exspensive for a "look," even if it does keep it a little cooler. Over-all it is a bit smaller than the original, I guess to ensure the fit. It would have to have a 1/4'' or so added to the front to match the factory gap. Not really a big deal, but I was a bit PO when I mounted it and thinking about the P$.
  8. I have seen a picture with what they said was a S10 bumper on it. Looked good and it may have been on this forum. Do a quick seach and see if it pops up. I have been looking at the S10 bumper in the pick-n-pulls to give it a try myself. They have the trucks supported on the bumpers so it isn't going to happen for me. I hope it works. Give it a try and let me know-Rich
  9. I am selling a set of MJ bucket brackets if you were inerested. They are in the classified section-Rich http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1484
  10. Insted of dream manche, I should have used purple haze manche 4sale  Few years back when I was looking at it, it had 33" tires and a turbo/supercharger on it. At the time, the Guy wanted around 7 grand for it
  11. Somebody buy this and sell me the topper! It's the one I have been looking for. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1986-Jee ... dZViewItem
  12. This has a PDF of all the info on the AX15, including an exploded view. Hope it helps, Rich http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavist ... n_AX15.pdf
  13. they look like american racing torque thrust D's. . . maybe II's, but; I think D's. Both are Very popular with the muscle car crowd. Thank you! They are muscle car tough looking-Rich
  14. Very nice! That looks brand new. Can you tell me who makes the rims on your YJ? I like them
  15. Sweet! I love the color, very nice looking MJ.
  16. I am iterested in what size tire and tread width are you talking about? 31x10.5 or taller/wider? Thanks, Rich
  17. Look at it this way, you get to keep the cat :brows:
  18. I do not have it yet. I will do a write up on it after I get it and have it installed ;) I will follow your advice Pingpong and wait until the lift is on before I order the shocks. Looks like you all agree on hydro-type shocks
  19. I need to figure out what type of shock to get for my RE 5.5 MJ lift. I have only had the Rancho shocks on my other jeeps. Anything better for the MJ? Should I try something different like the Bilstein or? What is everyone else using? I will be on the road 80% of the time. TIA, Rich
  20. The arms are coming with the kit, so I may as well ugrade on the chance that a may go a tad higher then the 5.5. The guy at RE suggested that I go with the adj ca's. I was questioning why they were not already a part of the kit if it was a good idea to upgrade  I just wanted to be sure that I wasn't being up-sold for no good reason ;) Thanks for your reply Eagle
  21. Yeah, 100 bucks more. Thanks guys
  22. Here is what I am now planning to do and I would like your input. It appears that I will not be able to find an AX15 in the very near future. My BA10 is running strong but I will want to upgrade when I can. I was planning on the TNT Y-link but they are only set up for one or the other trans, sucks. So, I think I am going with the RE 5.5 kit and then maybe sell the DB & CA's and upgrade later. QUESTION*** Should I upgrade the Control Arms to the adjustable types? The kit comes with the drop brackets and I am not sure if I need one or both adjustable CA's, if any? Money is not the issue, so I will buy both if it improves the kit. Is anyone else running this set-up and how do you like it? Thanks, Rich
  23. That thing is awesome  He even painted the window guards camo!
  24. I am going to get some swine on my pizza and celebrate
  25. I have a set of 37x14.50r15 on 12'' rims. They are coming right off the Scrambler once the MJ is painted  JK Here is a picture of the tires on my jeep. I can take a close up shot of just the tire if needed-Rich
