  5. From Mike today; "This is something I have thought about in the past and now that you guys have this great club we can move forward with that, and make it worth my time, tire racks? winches in the rear? let me know, by the way we will be fitting a set of rock rails to the MJ this week, its a little slow for me because the MJ has no running gear its just a shell so we can't get it int the shop. Mike" Any ideas? I sent him this picture, I like the end caps, and I could tie in some rocker protection for the rear. Just need a way to hold the license plate - Rich
  6. I will not forget ;) I just sent an email out asking about rear bumpers. I will let you know - Rich
  7. Are going make the PIONEER decals for the long beds? I need the tailgate "JEEP" decal also  Could you PM the prices to me? Thanks, RIch

  10. Lol, I get it now.
  11. Looks like only the rear most mounting legs will need to be modified on the existing design. Mike thinks it should be an easy fix. They are very busy at this time, but he assured me that they are in the works
  12. I just emailed him, I will let you know - Rich
  13. I agree. You are in a no win situation. Stay away from it, and just be there when your buddy needs you for support X3. I have to believe, deep down, your buddy knows. Good luck

  15. I will let Mike know. I gave up on Detours also. I want to talk Mike into making a rear bumper after he gets done with the rock rails :brows:
  16. Mike is working on the design now If you get over there with your Jeep, you could have the first prototype :brows:
  17. Those are nice! Lets see what happens with Mike
  18. From the pictures on the website, the rails have tubes that are mounted inside of the foot. Smaller diameter tube into a larger diameter tube system. This angle problem could be solved by cutting the tube use for the feet, at the correct angle, and then welded the mounting plate on( plate-> /= <- foot tube). Just need to make sure the rail legs are all the right length. This sounds like an easy hurdle to pass? I am missing something?- Rich
  19. Really, I will have to check that out. The rail would have to have the supprts under the cab, because there is only about 12 inches of frame available to mount a foot to behind the cab. How many angles are on that part of the frame? Mike says he has a Comanche at the shop, he will be able to work off of that. I just don't know if it is a LWB or SWB? offroader461 - heck yeah, give him a call. I believe the timing is right, a few MJers have expressed interest, and he has a Comanche at the shop giving him ideas!
  20. I have been waiting for the vender on here to get back to us on the MJ rock rails. It doesn't look like that is going to happen  So, I contacted Mike at Proto Fab- http://www.protofab4x4.com -about modifying the XJ ROCKSOLID ROCK RAILS for the MJ. I am trying to guage interest in these for a group purchase/discount. I would love to be able to go back to Mike and say that there is an overwelming interest in these. Anyone else interested?
  21. YES! I may be getting mine from here http://www.titanengines.com/Products.html and here are two build-up links that should give you an idea on what is involved/costhttp://www.bc4x4.com/tech/bryce/stroker/stroker.cfm http://www.angelfire.com/my/fan/stroker.html
  22. 88swampedmj, This is a picture of my 1989 block out of an MJ that I am going to build a stroker out of - Hole there, but smaller. They may have enlarged the hole for better lubrication? :dunno: Hope that helps, Rich
  23. Let me know too! Thanks, Rich
  24. Hey now. I happen to like my dark blue interior in my '88. Thank you very much.
