  2. Is this for real?
  3. Take it you are a cop  I had to reply, because your sig says Walhala. Had a buddy back in college who lived in SC. His GF at the time, lived in Walhalla. I drove throught it with him, and the name stuck with me. Stupid reply, just love to say Walhalla- Rich
  4. Thanks for the help, guys. I went down this morning {I think I saw rdp001 silver comanche} and picked up the slave set up. I also took the vin# off of the XJ. The vin decoder says it is an 1994, so the guys at LQK marked it wrong. Thanks again, Rich
  5. I went to the pick-n-pull and found an 1993 XJ with the AX15/231. The 231 was destroyed, so I grabbed the input shaft out of it. I just assumed the tranny was an external slave AX15 and decided not to pass it, and the input shaft up. I got home a started reading that the external did not start until 94. I have never seen pictures of the differences between the internal and external slave cylinders. Here is a few pictures so that somebody can tell me if it is indeed an external slave AX15. If it is an external, should I go back and grab the complete slave assembly? TIA Rich
  6. I thought I would let everyone know about this; http://www.floridajeepers.net/viewtopic.php?t=34455 1989 Comanche 160-170k miles, can't remember. 31" at's. 2wd BA10 Body really good shape, could use new tailgate, and rear bumper. Only one very small rust spot, about the size of 2 quarters. Great running/cooling/starting/driving jeep. But got another possible unique jeep I could be doing... So the offers start at 1500 obo
  7. Uhm, are we all just going to ignore this? Lol, do we need to have an intervention? I don't drink based on my fuel consumption, I drink to forget a bad clown experience
  8.  How can so much happen to one guy? Nice time for the wife to tell you it's over. Wow what a story, glad you are ok!
  9. The hellcats are 8.5 wide, and the Walker Evans. Thanks for all the input.
  10. I found a set of Centerline rims that are 15x8 with 3 1/2 inches of backspacing. I want to run 33x12.5" tires. What problems could I run into? Should I stick to a rim with 4 or more inches of BS? Anyone running 3.5" bs? - Rich
  11. The beadlock rims, yep. The street wheels do not. Funny thing is, they are both the same price. I will be getting the street wheels, because the MJ will be my DD.
  12. Are you kidding me? Were they in good shape? I think I am just going with the Walker Evans, unless the Hellcats can be found. It is going to take me a year to save up for the wheels though - Rich
  13. It seems that Centerline discontinued the Hellcat series wheels 6 years ago! :headpop: Looks like I will have to get something else. I have my selection down to 2, for now. I like the look of the wheels on JP magazine's Comanche project, the Walker Evan street wheels. Or maybe the new DC-1 in black. Anybody have any feedback on the pros and cons of these two? Any other rims I may have missed? TIA Rich

    Snow Fun

Looks like a blast! Cute wheeling buddy ;)
  15. I have both, a CJ7 and CJ8. Just about every thing on the 7 can be used on the 8, and vice-versa. Main differences through the years would be in the drivetrain - the engine/trans options and the axle width. The last year of the CJ's (86) could have the wide track D44 rear. The difference in the CJ8 is the lenght of the frame(extra body mounts also), the rear fenders flares, the tub(door pin back), the roll bar, and maybe a few more I can't think of right now. The grill, front fenders, seats, lights, blah blah - same - you will have to be more specific. Try here, www.cj-8.com, for more information on the Scramblers. Feel free to pm me if you have any questions, Rich
  16. You are advising him on spelling?
  17. That is something my Dad would say, funny quote :D . I say why bother cutting the length down? Buy it, and wheel it as is? It could be because I am sick of conversion projects  - Rich
  18. I have seen the Cherokee bumper on the rear of an MJ. I have a picture of it somewhere.
  19. Very nice job Hemi! Thanks for all the input, guys. Crutchfield says that they are 4x6, so that is what I will install. Everyone seems to have the Infinitt Kappa's, maybe I will go with those. Thanks again for everyones help-Rich
  20. Yep, I have some 6x9s taking up room too. I would like to be able to do the same thing :brows:
  21. I am getting ready to buy speakers for the Comanche, and I have a few questions. The back speakers are 4x6, correct? Any way to put 6x9's in there? if yes, how much modification was needed for the install? Anyone have pictures? Thanks, Rich
  22. At least, tell us what the average shipping cost has been. That way, we can tack that to the top of our donation.
  23. I am going with the Rubi D44, it is a direct bolt in. This is just the new D44 housing, the shafts are still on back-order;
  24. I have always liked the look of the backbone winch mount at http://www.detoursusa.com.
  25. This picture makes me smile everytime I see it . I will be placing mine in the same location when I get the decal, and the jeep back.-Rich
