  1. Did you check the bushings pressed into the axle for the upper control arms? Those are a common source of failure and eventually, death wobble.
  2. Yep, they are very flexible on payment. I ordered $832 of Jeep parts today. Not necessarily all from JCR. Damn good sales today!
  3. As I understand the bendable sections are precut so they can be bent by setting it over the edge of a flat surface and pressing downwards with little pressure. That is what it looks like in the pictures as well. Shipping was a flat rate $45 for me.
  4. I ordered it right as it became available last night. Along with a few other items from various stores. :D
  5. The power for the windows runs into the driver switches and then out to the other doors. For the locks, into the passenger and then to the other doors. Basically it allows for less wiring with a stock XJ. It makes a mess when adapted into a MJ.
  6. For the power options you will need to make your own crossover harness or use the crossover harness from the same XJ with the extra wires removed. I made my own since the donor XJ did not have the wiring for power options in 1997 on the base models.
  7. It looks like a good smack from a mirror.
  8. Parking on the street? You are having horrible luck!
  9. Power wash underneath the vehicle occassionally. Do a yearly inspection by crawling underneath there. If you find a spot of rust, wire wheel it, and spray rust converter paint. My LJ is dotted with that underneath the tub to keep little spots that appear from spreading.
  10. o_o I wonder if Archer Brothers would sell the original moulds. Better question, are they selling the left overs if we email them?
  11. Officially jealous, how did you get that?

  13. Welcome back to the site! I am torn between a few colors right now. Once I get the tires and rims mounted I can get a better idea of what will go together nicely.
  14. THE ENGINE IS INSTALLED! WHOOOOOOO! *Dies*
  15. I can run a full size refrigerator off my Jeep. I know ham, but not licensed. My parents' house is basically a nuclear survival shelter.
  16. The only difference between the 4.0 and a 4.0 HO is a better cylinder head. All that has to be done to make a normal 4.0 into a HO is to swap a HO cylinder head on.(Plus potentially intake and exhaust...) With a straight 4.0 HO swap there is roughly a 15hp increase. Stroking a 4.0 HO will send it to whatever extreme you have in mind and have much money you have to spend.
  17. Proper length push rods, exhaust manifold, catalytic converter, and a couple things I broke are ordered. Most should arrive tomorrow so I can HOPEFULLY do the engine installation this weekend.

  19. APPLJCK - See license plate.
  20. Click the light switch icon in the very upper left of the editor controls.
  21. I would take out a small loan to get this thing. *Drools* That and I really want a get away from home toy.
  22. They are all brand new so hopefully that never happens until many years in the future. :D The little plastic spark plug wire guides were broken and I gave up trying to figure out how there were supposed to run originally so I redid it with my knowledge of computer case wiring.
  23. Thanks! $500+ for roller rockers is just not worth it. $24 for new push rods is worth it however. :D I spent four hours trying to get the damn transmission to line up and slip on. I still have it unmated and hanging there. :/
  24. Q: What's up with the nasty engine block mount brackets? A: Waiting for Black Friday sales to purchase heavy duty brackets. This may look like a mess, but I routed all these specifically make them hold each other in place. Valve setup is not finished. Awaiting the arrival of correct length push rods. The remanufactured cylinder head had 0.02" removed to level it so the valve preload is out of specification.
  25. There is no complete engine bolt kit for the Jeep 4.0L. Other than the cylinder head, main bearing, and connecting rod bolts the rest can be replaced with bolts from a hardware store. Fel-Pro ES71102 for the cylinder head ARP Connecting Rod Bolts http://hesco.us/shop.asp?action=details&inventoryID=42910&catId=7549 Main Bearing - You might have to get these from the dealership. Hesco sells an ARP stud kit that is compatible, but not like the factory style. http://www.hesco.us/shop.asp?action=details&inventoryID=42905&catId=7757
