Oizarod115 Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 i honestly just shed a tear. that's the first one i've seen totaled.
JeepcoMJ Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 and look how rust free it is! it's just too bad...even the rear axle got bent from that...
Rokhound Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 and look how rust free it is! it's just too bad...even the rear axle got bent from that... o well as long as it wasnt the D44

Mitch Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Looks like time for a roll cage, wholy crap I wouldnt have wanted to be in that!
Rokhound Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/29 ... 3521geAsZY I don't no that it is a Comanche but it is cool
JohnQ Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 This was posted over on lostkjs.com. Who ever did the work did a real nice job. That is the same color I want to paint mine.
JeepcoMJ Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 it appears that they bolted the rear flares right on...no altering... I just say that cause the rear flares look low and I can see the wheel wells appear smaller than stock. looks great though
JohnQ Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 I PM'd the guy. Thats it for the pictures. He seen it in a parking lot and snapped some pics. He also said it looked like the rear flares were just sanded down to match the front. I like the look of the cherokee tail lights.
Pete M Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 He also said it looked like the rear flares were just sanded down to match the front. That's what I was thinking. I can see the flat edge on the outer lip and the 97+ flares don't have that. Looks pretty good. :D
JeepcoMJ Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 hmm...that makes me want to just sand the fronts when/if i do that conversion, so that it's all the same. i don't wanna deal with plastic welding...
jage Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 You're saying that the one on the left became the one on the right through SANDING? It's not like the fender flares are a solid hunk of plastic... I guess as the mythbusters say, it's plausible. http://www.jage.com/offsite/comancheclub/misc/fenders_really.jpg I'd sure like to see some "in progress" shots if someone tries this, but I agree they don't quite look like the newer XJ flares--> http://www.cityofgreer.org/client_resources/departments/fire/car%2010%20crop.jpg

JeepcoMJ Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 guys, sand down the lip at the top to match the main part of it. they ARE solid plastic, but are malleable (squishy)
