Factory Fog lights

Recommended Posts

Hi i have seen many opinions of which brand and size were the original fog lights of jeep comanche and i have seen that they have very diferent information, some say they were diferent brand used in the bottom front defense than the one used in the roll bar. Some one say the brand of the lights on the roll bar were " ROL" other says "KC" and some others "marchall"

They were trucks from factory with both fog lights? In bottom front and roll bar? Which were the original switches? I have seen the swithes only have two dashes one for turning cargo and  one for fog light so if they have the two fog lamps options how they turn it on? With the same dash?

Please excuse my lack of knowledge, I hope my question was clear. Thank you.

Brand depends on the year. In general the AMC years were Marchals for rectangular ones and I think KC for round. Chrysler years had several including ROL which is not listed in their ‘92 catalog. Pics of the ‘88 and ‘92 catalogs, respectively.

Not to nose this thread into the weeds,

but wasn’t there someone at some point on or associated with this forum that was making switch panel

overlays? Be nice to be able to put together panels that have the OE appearance.

Good info, my roll bar is original factory... and it has 3 adapters.... i always think they only have 2 adapters... but it clearly says "capacity from 2 to 4" so it could be 3 jaja thanks

I think I still have old stock of those switch covers in a box somewhere. I must have made 20 different layout varieties. The actual "fog" lights switch went on the left of the column and would have been next to the factory cargo light switch if that was installed on the truck. The roll bar light switch went to the right of the column as noted in the other post and would have been next to the "power/comfort" switch if so optioned. Although I never saw this in any original MJ, I suppose the highest possible option combo would have been factory fogs, cargo lamp, sports bar light and power/comfort for dash switches. Then again, I've never seen factory electric windows or locks in an MJ either.

I’d almost kill for one of the left side fog/cargo covers. If you run across that box some time…
