Got it..... THANKS!!!

THANKS..... Yep it's the ash tray light. Works with headlights turned on. Plus now I know where to look for the floor board plug.
-
My '89 Pioneer did not come with floorboard lights.... I have the plug pictured but I am not getting any power to it. The dome fuse and dome lights are good. Is there another connection I need to check? Something that needs to be changed since it was an option? Also are there 1 or 2 plugs? I can only find one.....

Driving light wiring help....
JimiGibbs replied to JimiGibbs's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Well.... after I checked the switch , checked the relay and checking continuity of all wires..... It was a bad ground on the lights themselves. -
Driving light wiring help....
JimiGibbs replied to JimiGibbs's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yea.... Still doesn't work with the headlights on. About to go start doing some troubleshooting. -
Just wired up my Hella 450driving lights.... When I flip the switch I hear the relay click but no lights. Am I correct to assume I have a bad connection between the relay and the lights? Pretty sure everything else it wired correctly.... THANKS

Ahhhh….. yes. I believe you are correct. Forgot about that.

I assume this is for an option my truck does not have..... Can someone tell me what it is for? THANKS
-
Thanks for all the replies.... Since replacements do not seem to be readily available I ended up trimming the neck of the fender pins (same diameter) so they fit in the slots on the back trim. Should work fine.
-
Can anyone recommend a source for the interior trim pin shown? Its for the upper door trim and back panel trim. I see lots of pictures on line but very hard to tell if they have the skinny post required to slide into the slot. THANKS

Followed @Gjeep's post and my results came out pretty good...... Cut up an extra front fender liner. Had to put some new holes in it to match up to the fender flair bolts but whould work great. THANKS

Harness back in and EVERYTHING works!!! Even wired in a trailer plug and checks out OK..... Again Thanks for all the help.
-
Thanks to all.... Ended up pulling the wiring harness and found a few odd things. Someone had done some wiring and had a ground and blue wire connected together. Had to pull it out of the harness to find it. THANKS

THANKS.... Getting closer. Unplugged C159 (my whole interior is out) and it didn't blow. Plugged back in and disconnected the blue wire (previous owner cut out C159 to add a trailer harness) and the fuse did not blow. Connected blue wires and it blew. So I think that narrows it down to the tail lamp harness. The harness looks to be in pretty good shape. Only think I found was the picture below where someone spliced it back for some reason. From what I can tell it's done correctly just not sure why. What would you suggest next???
-
I disconnected and the fuse did not blow.... plugged it back in and it blew immediately. So.... what exactly does that tell me? Is there short in the blue wire in the back half? Does it rule out the switch? What would you suggest next? Try a jumper wire to the back? THANKS

Found it.... Thanks

Anyone have any thought / experience with remaking the rear liner (not sure what to call it)? My crumbled in my hands. I'm thinking about ABS sheet and bending it with heat. Or just painting it.... Wouldn't be so bad but not that the truck is repainted bright white it really sticks out.
