Barstool
Hey y’all, I’m normally a quiet one reading up on how to fix the truck. It got stolen in West Seattle. I’d appreciate if some of y’all would keep an eye out! Thank you! It’s a 91 with the 4.0, the canopy should still be on it and the rear bumper is not original. It doesn’t have original exhaust either so you might hear it before seeing it. If you happen to see it please let me know where about and when. Again thank you. It was found a couple days ago and I have it back now. Thank you for keeping eyes out!

hgeranium
That’s horrible that this happened. I frequently have nightmares about mine getting stolen. Please keep us updated and we all pray for the speedy locating of your Comanche.
TheNerfsmith
It’s a thought that keeps me up at night as well. Recently, I was checking the price of AirTags after almost losing my keys. I probably will get another for the my Comanche. I will pray for the return of your Comanche.
WranglerMangler
I’ll keep an eye out for her. I’m usually pretty good at spotting them. Hope you get it back. I'm in Maple Valley. Seems like an odd vehicle for a tweeker to steal. Doubt they’re just out driving it around. Hope it’s not an MJ owner stripping it for parts. I would suggest putting an ad like this out on Facebook and FB marketplace, Craigslist etc.

Barstool
Hey Y'all, sorry for the delay in story I got swamped at work the second I got the truck back. So I had gone to get lunch at a deli around the corner and saw it then walking back to the building, about 3 hours later I was leaving and walked out to no truck where I had left it. I asked the friend that i was working with to double check that I wasn't going insane since we had been staring at lights for 4+ hours. They looked and confirmed I wasn't crazy which then turned into a hunt for cameras on the buildings nearby to see anything but it was after 5 on a friday so our chances were slim. I get the report done and driven home. I spent the next couple of days feeling insane so I asked another friend to humor me and drive back since I had nothing more to lose at this point. It was found in the same parking lot with a small chunk of gas missing and scratches on the gas cap (it has a lock that spins the second you put too much pressure on it to turn it), so we called the cops and it got looked over with no major damages besides my own ego, drove it close to home to check it for anything funny before fully going home. It was definitely confusing and felt like a fever dream but I'm glad to have my problem child back!

It was definitely confusing and felt like a fever dream but I'm glad to have my problem child back! That’s wild that the thief just stole it for some gas. It’s like the homeless people that will break car windows to steal change in a cupholder (never leave visible change!) My personal anti-theft before I add a kill switch is pulling the shifter handle and inner plastic rod so even if they get the club off and get the truck on, they can’t put it in gear. All this assuming you have an automatic. If I’m leaving the truck for a bit in a bad part of town I’ll pull the fuel pump fuse. I’m very glad that the truck is alright. Your scenario really made me get into a better habit about doing the thing I said above every time.
