Hi all, recently I completed my prototypes for the gasket of the wheel well side of the factory sportbar. If anyone is removing there bar for any reason or has the bedside gasket laying around to measure I would greatly appreciate if you would send it my way.

Finally dialed in the TPU on my Bambu X1C and was satisfied how the gasket printed. It’s early prototyping but once the bar needs to be installed on my MJ I’ll document how it does over time. My next task is to tackle the bed mount ones.

Black interior and sport bar too. That’s decently hard to come by.

Anyone have a ”spit out your drink“ moment regarding Comanches or jeeps in general? Or rather a very funny moment?

I have the original warranty and owners manual for my Comanche and it had 20 miles on the odometer when it was delivered/sold. If any North Carolinians near Hickory know the salesman or the original owner I wouldn’t mind getting in contact.

If you mean these (LINK), is it normal for mounts to be $7 cheap. Seems like an extremely important part given that the engine sits on it.

Hi guys, What motor mounts would you all recommend. This would be for normal driving. I'm not planning on doing anything harsh with my Comanche and it wouldn't see really any offroad. I'm returning everything to what would be an OEM+ condition.

Hi guys, The AC condenser in my 89 Comanche is pretty messed up. Any recommendations for the condenser and the ac lines? Part numbers?

I‘ve heard that a Comanche rearview mirror won’t go to a newer windshield. That’s not something I’m really knowledgeable about and want to know if that’s true.

Hi guys, What’s the best method for getting a new windshield and what at all would be beneficial or different for putting a 97+ one into my 89 MJ.

My first car was a 2008 Volkswagen Eos. It was a fun car up until I saw the light and turned to Jeeps with my 2006 LJ in my Sophomore year.

The bench seat I was lucky to get from @89 MJ also got reupholstered as well.

Update Since being back from school the project started to get away from me slightly. So the Comanche is getting redone. It had a myriad of weird issues from wiring being amalgamated or missing entirely. So the most recent photo is of it stripped and everything painted so it go back on. Now it’s just finding parts and making sure care is taken to bring it back. I’ve really learned a lot from this community and through this journey so far, and I’m looking forward to the completion of the build.

That’s good to know about the decal for the window. Will definitely pick that up. As for the nameplate the jury is still out on that.

Hi guys, Lately I’ve been thinking about what to do about putting the badges back onto my Comanche. The only ones left are the 4.0 Litre and the Metric Ton (it has the D44 and upgraded leafs). Given my recent searches and attempts the Metric Ton badge is becoming a headache. That being said, I was mulling over what to do about denoting that. My recent idea was to put a Jeep Performance Parts Badge on it (See image). My line of reasoning follows that the upper trims at the time would’ve qualified for a “performance package“ and I feel like the sidegraded metric ton would’ve fit that bill. But I’m curious to hear the thoughts of the community on this.

Pete is correct. I saw one in a junkyard once, it has Comanche embossed on it on the bed wall that’s closest to the cab.
