knever3 Posted September 12, 2021 Share Posted September 12, 2021 I just put new duratracks on my truck and just noticed that the front is a measured 2" lower in the front. I can see two options here. Get the ACOS or buy new springs and hope they raise the front end just enough. I have never gotten around to installing new bump stops so the ACOS should work for that too. Are the bump stops adjustable? I bought my springs from Morris off road and I am really second guessing that they were even supposed to be a 3" lift spring. They were advertised as a 140# spring rate. I want a comfortable ride. I have JKS adjustable upper and lower control arms. I will need new front sway bar links too. So what route should I go with? Andy in Pa Posted September 14, 2021 Share Posted September 14, 2021 If you like the ride of the springs, I would consider just installing a set of those 2" spacers above the coil springs. Way cheaper than the ACOS spacers, and its likely the springs won't settle any further. I wouldn't be too concerned about bump stops unless your planning on wheeling the rig hard. I liked it but I bought it for future down the road adjustments and fine tuning the front, ie added weight from bumper, sagging, etc. Spacers would probably be fine if you wanted a cheaper route. Another thing to consider is there is a natural rake so the coils are probably fine but it's the rake. The bump stop isn't adjustable just extended. I haven't wheeled it yet and don't plan on it. I would like to go on a trail ride color tour that won't scratch the paint at some point in Michigan. I will snap a picture tomorrow on level ground. Yes, a simple spacer and maybe some very light plastic trimming on the flares and liner and it should be good. I actually don't think I would go more than a 1" spacer. I guess I go the spacer route, I am assuming Daystar? Is there any difference? All poly? I will most likely need longer sway bar links, anyone have a part number for a slightly longer set? I have used simple shock extenders on sway bar links to get 2 more inches of length in the past. Worked really well. I can't remember thread size or anything like that though, you'll have to do your own research for that. I agree with what the others are saying too. Where you are now looks like the perfect height. Maybe you should just see how the tires are hitting and see if trimming the flares and liner would solve it. Otherwise, you may also need to put longer shackles in the rear to compensate for the added front height to get that look back. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The rears openings on the MJ are higher than the fronts. Your truck looks perfect the way it is front to back, I personally wouldnt change a thing. If you go up any more in the front, it will begin to look squatted. Let it ride for a while and enjoy it. If the front settles later, then add maybe an 3/4-1 inch, but it doesnt need it right now.
