The86manche
89 2.5 5 speed 2x4 short bed. Says pioneer but the trucks been sprayed over so no clue if its true. Sadly forgot the grab the vin. Will tomorrow when i go back. Grabbing the roll bar, got tail lights already and other obvious odds and ends. This yard is litered with renix parts! My friend tipped me off to this place. Which is actually a service center that amassed cars in the back. And this was one of them. Talked to the owner and hes allowed me to wander the back and buy whatever parts i want :) Bunch of renix cherokees, two door and 4 door all of them late 80s I'm just excited because i never find them! eaglescout526
Nice find! Grab that VIN and we can truly see what she once was. That MJ though looks like factory color judging by the door jambs. I can't imagine someone going through the trouble to repaint and restore only to junk it.
fiatslug87
Nice score! It even has the Marchal lights! Does it have the Sportbar light switch panel? And is that its plow? Grab the rear window gasket, people are always looking for them.

Pete M
yeah, I'd try to buy the whole thing. that bedside looks shockingly clean for a north/east truck.

My first thought was "Buy the bed!" Get the rear window, too. It's not a factory slider, but it is a proper window for an MJ.
Dzimm
You should still be able to buy the entire truck, I doubt a service center would retitle these as salvage or junk if they aren't actually a junkyard.
Martlyon
The car was abandoned? Did you bring it back? Would love to see it after the rebuild the tires for car. I'm wondering, if you take the car home will you be able to fix the tire on it or will you replace it? And I have some winter tire recommendations for it for the upcoming winter, hope it helps https://tireer.com/best-snow-tires-for-trucks/

The86manche
I never got any notice of the comments going on here.. oops lol I grabbed as much goodies as i could. Rear window seal came out perfect. No tears but that is sold. Tail lights, also sold though lol The truck is for sale! Has a title! Owner of the shop said hed let it go for a whopping $300. Supposedly the motor is blown but it does at least crank and i did hear the fuel pump prime. On 8/15/2020 at 12:05 PM, fiatslug87 said: I wonder what what the bed looks like under that forest litter. It was smacked in the nose and the motor supposedly blew which is why it was parked. But not junked. Can still be saved!

The whole truck is shockingly clean! Very little rot. Cab corners are only just starting to bubble and scale. However passenger front got smacked good. So needs some body work and a new fender/header. Ill be going back ill grab more photos and the vin. I forgot again lol

Honestly i know all those parts are valuable i don't want to take too much from it. Id rather see it stay.. mostly intact and have someone save it. But drip rails are black and getting rusty. don't remember if it had the carpet board but i did grab the b pillar lights. Broken though, no big surprise. It is a bench seat truck and the headliner was still up there(there was a wasp nest in the fabric though) so i didnt want to yank things out carelessly.. The truck was also sunk into the ground a bit so fuel pump and sendor wasnt happening.. If someone on the east coast wants this truck for parts or project i have the location. I just don't want to be posting someones service center on here without permission and having people flood there just for parts, you know?

With part number! Displayed in my truck though its an absolute mess. I also need assistance with finding the wiring for it in my truck. Ive found two plugs that could work on the left side, one being used by the factory fogs the other was tapped up. But it does not reach the right side ans there are no plus for that spot on the right side. Weird.
fiatslug87
Nice! The wiring will not be there, it's not part of the factory wiring it's an add on. I'll find the diagram and add it here. Edit: found it, originally from Gjeep MJ Sportbar Lights.pdf
eaglescout526
Or you could always go back to the truck and snag the wiring.
