AMC86Kid
is there any clamp down pieces that i can get to connect these to so that they don't have an exhaust leak?

AMC86Kid
i wonder if a straight piece will work for me because i don't think it will seal it fully
jdog
what's nice about that clamp is that it conforms to the pipe

ghetdjc320
If you can slip it loose there is some exhaust putty that will seal that up well. I’d throw a clamp on it also as was shown while the putty/epoxy is curing. Either that or get out the old hot metal glue gun a weld it up. Exhaust shop shouldn’t charge more than 20-30 for a simple weld fix like that

fiatslug87
They are usually called exhaust band clamps, Jegs, Summit, carry all sizes and types (lap and butt) in stainless.

shelbyluvv
Check Amazon. My entire exhaust on my car is put together with band clamps. There are butt and lap clamps. You need a lap for that setup for the exhaust pipe diameter that slips inside the bigger one. Tip: cutting a slit in the bigger pipe will help get a better seal whene you clamp it. I've got a couple on my truck.

Pete M
how tight did you crank on it? I would give the steel a day to relax and then re-tighten, like a lot.
shelbyluvv
Did you slit the pipe like I suggested? Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk

Strokermjcomanche
Why not slide a coupler over each side of the pipe and then clamp it down ? Or technically inside the second pipe .

shelbyluvv
Slit the pipe, use a band clamp. It will not leak and will come apart. Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
AMC86Kid
I put the Permatex Muffler/Tail Pipe Sealer and so far it holds real good so I slapped the clamp over it as an extra support, no leaks now I can tune my carburetor
