mjben
Fresh off the UPS truck. No quality issues that I can see...

Warren Mohler
are the bushings not pressed deep enough? looks odd
fiatslug87
I'm not too worried about that, I have a press and will fine tune them if mine are like that.
Warren Mohler
I'm just picky about that stuff. I do like the second wrap my XJ broke the eye on top of the bushing, rode sort of squirrely till I found and fixed
mjben
I think the slight angle of the photo makes it look worse than it is, but you are correct, the bushings are not perfectly centered. I also have a press so am not too concerned about it.
TexanEliminator
I bought a set of the regular 4/1 springs from them and they rode fine. Bushings were offset and caused rattling. Fixed that with an air hammer. Only ran them 2k miles then replaced with Rusty’s 4” springs. I wish there was an option for taller springs and still stay SUA. I carry approximately 800# of tools in the bed at all times and even with overloads maxed out, I’m sitting dead level with 5” lift up front. 1989commanche
How do you guys that have these military wrap springs like them so far? Am thinking about grabbing a set soon. My old springs are saggy and don’t take much weight. You put a 300 lb quad in the bed and it feels like it’s doing a wheelie.

fiatslug87
Mine should be here on Friday. Ordered them on 11/27, emailed them two days ago with no response. Called them today and coincidentally they were ready yesterday . If you want to know their status call them, I could not get to installing them anyway so I waited until I could. Not even about 900LBs of lumber had my military wrapped ones dropping that low. I love them!
ghetdjc320
The bushings in mine came completely loose and started clunking. I got the 3/1 springs and they were very stiff. Paint looked like someone had poured it out of a bucket. Got them for $160/PR plus shipping though. Ended up giving them away and getting some good used springs for my SOA
1989commanche
I just talked to the guy at general spring. They have a few sets in stock right now. These are usually made to order but he said they got a bunch of orders lately so they ordered 10 sets.
ghetdjc320
They had a bunch of sets in stock when I ordered back in June last year. I highly doubt they “custom make” any of them. Probably just put in an order and it takes a while to receive them from wherever they are manufactured.
1989commanche
Ordered a set yesterday afternoon. Got a tracking # today. Should arrive on Tuesday. Quick service. Will try to install in the next couple weeks.
1989commanche
Ok I received them in 4 days after ordering. Took a few weeks to get time to install them. Install was easy.
1989commanche
Measured before I started, middle of the wheelwell was 33 1/8” starting point and 17” to the rock rail.
1989commanche
After was 37 3/4” to wheelwell and 18 3/4” to rock rail. So total lift was a little over 4” to the rear and almost 2” in the middle.
1989commanche
Third step was shocks. They were at their extended limit at rest so an adjustment was needed. Plus the shock mount is the lowest hanging part of the axle. On the lower part of the bolt plate. Decided to move shock mounts to the axle. Had to fab up some brackets.
