Why let me quote the catalogue

HD- "This heavy duty pump is made of cast iron for added strength and better rough cycle wear characteristics."

HV- "This high volume pump is similar to P4529227(above) except that it has larger rotors for a 25 percent increase in capacity."

Just curious by any chance are there is still any of those performance ecu/ecms still floating around.

No..when that one stroker found surfaced, I immediately looked and see if there was any and there was not. All it does is increase spark advanced and fuel flow.

Did you search #P4529334 the HP ecu that was called out in my Jeep book, there was 26 in the US back when I got the book mid 90s

Eagle, what would you guess the condition of a 30 year old timimg chain is? Links still flexible? Metal pitted and rough?

I can tell you that somewhere around twenty years and 200,000 miles I replaced the timing chain in my '88 XJ as what I thought was a preemptive strike. I'm an AMC guy, and the AMC V8s had a cam sprocket that used nylon teeth. They weren't good for much more than 100,000 or so miles (maybe 150,000 if well cared for). Thinking the Jeep was the same, I thought I was living on borrowed time.

Once I got it apart, I found that the original timing chain was basically a roller chain, it was in perfect condition, and it hadn't stretched at all. I had the new parts so I installed them, but I saved the old parts and I wouldn't hesitate to use them to repair an older engine in a beater or trail rig. I would guess your 30-year old timing set is basically perfect.

you can only hope they will show up. When the AMC dealership I worked at closed I helped clean out building, threw out a dumpster full of Studebaker parts I could have had them all. STUPID on my part

Sounds like the dealership I was able to pick , they took a lot of parts out of the boxes to burn the cardboard and then the parts were ruined.
