It's neither a John Deere, Kubota, or tractor.

I did discover a Dana-spicer tag on the housing today, so that's a small clue.

 

I'll allow questions so it's not a straight-up guessing game.

Looks like a Chrysler 9.25 as far as pumpkin shape goes but that ring gear is definitely different

That's why I thought it would be a Lada.  But it's not, since it's a Dana axle.

It is a transaxle, although the vehicle in question is rear-drive, with a solid axle. Er, solid transaxle..?

Well I sorta forgot about this... But it's an old EZ-Go electric golf cart. 

I had the pleasure of taking two beat-to-$#!& carts and turning them into one at work.
