I'm far too lazy to quote you guys. I like the Comanche concept. There I said it and meant it. Here are my bullet points that some have said already.

Its a sick little truck. Gas mileage could easily be high 20s to mid 30s.

Your original Comanche MJs weren't designed to compete with full size trucks. It can't put a flat piece of plywood, the bed isn't the right dimensions.

The MJs were designed to be a light weight truck to compete against the competion of its time in cost, clearance, fuel economy etc...

This concept has nice edges, a visor, Renegade taillights, step side bed, Trailhawk red tow hooks, a 5 foot bed, and nice interior.

I actually like the Renegade and intend to buy one when my credit and finances are stable in a year or so.

My new Jeep family could be the Renegade Trailhawk as my DD, a newer style Grand Cherokee for the lady and baby, Comanche Concept as our hauler, a XJ project, and a MJ project. (also as backup DD vehicles)

If I remember right it has a 2" lift on nice tires. Renegades have a whopping 0.8" lift on Trailhawk trim.

And I just like it, from the first picture I saw. Even in the Futurama Fry meme. (Shows Comanche Concept and says "Not sure if offended or like it") lol.

I never liked the Renegade, but I do like the Comanche Concept. Yeah, I do.

But I use my MJ as a DD and occasional work Truck (dump runs, hauling my quad kinda stuff). Something this would suit to quite well. NOT that I plan to sell the MJ or the XJ for one anytime, but I like the concept. A slightly longer bed would be perfect IMO.

NOPE. This thibg earns a solid pass from me. I dig the Renegade, but I don't think this thing should be called a Comanche. The MJ, althought it was a small, unibody truck, could still get some work done in austere conditions (metric tonne package, anyone?). This thing looks like it'll MAYBE haul a couple of hardly used mountain bikes and a Starbucks latte.

@ daking   Do you mean like the Nukizer concept? I thought that one looked pretty interesting, honestly. Can't say I'm a fan of the Comanche concept on the first page, though.jeep-nukizer-715.jpg

Actually found what I was thinking... Not sure now that I can actually see it, if I like it...

I'd love to have this but I know they will never offer it.

and a crewcab m715

Now this is it.......................I'll take it with a diesel engine please. Or if they would offer it 6.2 Hemi, D60's front & rear and I'd take it. I love the look of a M715 and really like the crew cab.

All you IFS/IRS haters do realize that KoH champ Shannon Campbell has IFS on his buggy right?

And Tim Cameron rather promptly cut the independent suspension off his rig and tossed a set of bling solid axles under it.

Independent suspension works, but at a price. There is no cheap, simple, and reliable for it. Anything that the great Fiat will be providing the market will be expensive, over complicated, and unreliable. I dare them to prove me wrong.

...Later this year GM will be rolling out 2.8-liter Duramax diesel powered Colorado/Canyon mid-sized pickups. Will be interesting how well they sell. I think they will do well.

They hit the dealer lots in early January of this year.  I have test driven a couple so far and have almost pulled the trigger, but I cannot justify the price.  Both trucks I wanted to buy were over $42K out the door.

As for the engine, it was incredibly smooth, quiet and powerful.  I enjoyed every second behind the wheel.
