Strokermjcomanche
A guy is selling a drivers side NOS tail light initially for $299.xx + 18 shipping . Of course he can ask what he wants for it , and the new tail lights bring good money . What I don't understand is when i seen the listing today he raised the price to $325 + 18 shipping . If you want to ask a high price and go down that's fine , how do you justify going up?
HOrnbrod
Perhaps his greedy financial advisor recommended it. :shake: And some idiot will probably buy it.
Strokermjcomanche
Someone better hurry and buy it before tomorrow when the price goes up to $350 lol.I hope he gets it too , maybe I can cash in also .
glundblad
I remember one of those things showed up on ebay a couple years ago. The guy didn't do a good job posting it. I ran across it with a $40 buy it now. Be patient.
glundblad
I should also point out that both of my tail lights are probably newer than anyone elses on the forum. They have probably seen less than 40 hours of direct sunlight. I had a pair of used tail lights in reasonably good condition on it before. After I installed the new ones, I really don't notice a difference. My point is, if you are restoring, this would probably be one of the last things I would consider spending good money on. I spent slightly less than $200 for both mine. I don't think it was worth it and I am pretty picky.
HOrnbrod
Hmmmm. The seller is in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. We have a member from the same place. Naw, can't be the same guy...................
kansashogan
kklimer87 was selling the same tail lights on here and ebay. I was going to buy them off here but once he got a bid on ebay he was stuck. Won't be doing business with him.
Minuit
If there aren't any cracks or other damage, wetsand and clearcoat your tail lights. If you do a good job they'll look great for 10% or less of the cost of these.
krustyballer16
indiana junk yards have been good to us. i think we have 5 or 6 good pairs and a couple that would be ok as replacements if we were to sell any.
HOrnbrod
Good to know. Of course, that applies to most everywhere. Plastic doesn't rust, fortunately.

gogmorgo
Nope, totally not this guy. If I had some NOS taillights in my possession, I can assure you they'd stay that way! Also, I'm not quite so fiscally savvy as that... ;)

gogmorgo
But now I'm kinda wondering who it is, and what other goodies they might be willing to part with... At less obscene prices, of course.

How about using the Ebay "ask seller a question" feature?? I would try telling him you are local and would like to inspect the tail lights, just to make sure Ebay doesn't think you are trying to purchase outside of Ebay. Anyone here wants an NOS set of tail lights - I will sell you my set for $550 - But only this weekend!! Seriously, prices like these make me wonder why I keep things like the NOS tail lights or my HESCO aluminum head. And half the other "spares" I keep that I will likely never uses. Things like 4 extra tail gates, 3 sets of bucket seats, a spare Drawtite rear hitch and a factory step bumper. Then again, Anita has an explaination: I am just STUPID.
