NHMJXJ Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 I have a bunch of those in my unicorn saddle bags. :D There's a thread in here where someone was going to have them fabricated in aluminum.
sinkrun Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 looks like a project for my buddys milling machine.
Keyav8r Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 When you fond those buy up all you can find. You'll get rich selling them on the forum. Color won't matter. BTW - what happened to the aluminum fabrication idea. If I had a milling machine I'd try to make a two piece interlocking design that could be installed without removing the knob. I think it could be done in two to three set-ups.
Wrz Posted December 20, 2014 Author Posted December 20, 2014 Man i didnt know these were so rare or impossible to find, I'm getting my seats redone and need one without a crack on it to finish it off
ScottJeep Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Are you wanting factory relay cover clips or functional? I have some aftermarket clips that I use.
Wrz Posted December 21, 2014 Author Posted December 21, 2014 Are you wanting factory relay cover clips or functional? I have some aftermarket clips that I use. As long as they work that's good for me Have a link? Thanks
ScottJeep Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Here is what I have/have used... I usually trim just a bit off the end of the little piece that "locks" up against the cover cause I found they were a bit long. 3 for $12.00 shipped
88ComancheMitch Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I'll have to check my seat in the garage and see if it's there...
Strokermjcomanche Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 My neighbor is going to school for 3d printing . I gave him a good seat tilt bezel and he is currently attempting to make one . He said making all of our interior colors would complicate things so I told him make them black . I will post more details as they come .
Strokermjcomanche Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 I'm in for a few if they can be made! He said they can . It's just making sure they are made to the correct size and shape . There won't be the texture on the surface of them like the factory ones have . I'm debating whether or not to have them be a two piece to slide behind the lever or one like the factory ?
johnj92131 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Two pieces would let it be installed with out removing the plastic handle on the end of the lever. Just easier to do the replacement.
NHMJXJ Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Where's the line form? I'm in ... one piece, two piece, doesn't matter!
HOrnbrod Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Me too. The one piece bezel would be much easier to make. Removing the drift pin from the lever knob is pretty easy. But either would be fine - hope this works out. And color / texture doesn't matter at all to me.
Keyav8r Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Add me to the list. Would prefer gray, but will take black ones that aren't missing/broken.
Dillithium Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 and add me! I need two, don't care about color.
HOrnbrod Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 See what you started Adam? Now you have to deliver the goods or the consequences will be very severe. :rotfl2:
Strokermjcomanche Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Lol . Like I said its in the works . As soon as I get a finished product I will post an ad in the for sale section . I've got 3 sets of buckets that need the bezels along with everyone else's request .
