I drove my 300,000 mile MJ on similar length round trips without issues. But yeah, beyond small tool kit (including basic recovery gear), just some extra warmth and maybe some extra food/drinking water as well. In all honesty nothing more than I normally drive around with.

Well I made it !! I left about 6 am and got home 6:45 pm so 12hours instead of ten hours . Only issue I hadwas going up steep grades the aw4 trans would puke a little fluid out . It's still full but I think the front seal is going . I'm too tired and it's to dark to do anything anyhow .

Thanks for the offer mjeff87 and everyone else for your input .

I made a 17 hour trip from VA to TN several years ago to pick up a free engine (in a Ford Escort no less....). Drove 8.5 hours on a Saturday, grabbed a motel room and picked up the engine the next morning. Beat feet 8.5 hrs back to VA, then went back to work the next morning.

Where did you put the engine ? In the trunk? Must have been quite an adventure .

The best driving experiences I've had is driving a 28 ' box truck 27 hours straight through from Denver to Ohio. No hotel , just stopped for fuel and food . Did the drive again with a then new 2010 ford explorer rental . I like driving something that I don't care about and don't have to fix !

went from miami to denver co non stop. mt dew and little debbies.

I find Mtn dew the worst for road trips. Gotta whizz within 45 min of drinkin it!

I stick to a few Monsters or Full throttles and plain ol water.

27 hours - Weeki Wachee FL to Virginia MN in a '14 JK. Non stop. Same trip the year before in my '12 cummins.

9 hours recently from Norway IA to Virginia. EZ trip.

Nice driving across the country in a brand new rig with no worries. This spring tho.... 22 hours one way to Moab with the MJ in tow with my 200k 03 CTD.. Should be exciting.

I plan on taking my comanche all over as soon as I get a chance, worst road trip experience I've ever had was the ride back home on this years Vegas vacation,,,, it was only because I took a 1.75ml bottle of Bulleit Rye to last me 3 days and well enough said :ack: .

I'm taking the MJ tomorrow on a 5 hour each way journey . I've got a tool kit , spare tire , extra fluids etc .

Just seeing if you guys recommend taking

anything else that I didn't think of bringing along .

Thanks in advance .

A woman.

Then I'd have to hear " your driving to fast!"are you sure you're going the right way " I got to use the restroom " . Then I'd have to leave her in another state . Lol

done the drive from MA to Orlando quite a few times.  A Honda odyssey, a single cab bench seat Tacoma with manual everything (lap of luxury), and a 2013 wrx.  The wrx was the worst because there were four of us and no leg room.  We were supposed to each drive 6hrs but I took two shifts because the drivers seat was the only place I could extend my legs.  Ate a lot of candy on that ride.

My longest driving stint was from Old Faithfull in Yellowstone National Park to Anaheim, Ca in a 24 hour shot.  My wife had me pull over outside St.George, Ut so she could drive.  3 miles later, she pulled over and told me I had to drive because she was too tired.  Got home at noon.  Went right to bed.  Did not even turn the head lights off.  Battery was dead next day.  That was about 1250 miles in 1973.  Car was a 1969 Chevrolet Corvair.
