I was hoping for some pics or just opinions about my new rims.  I'm running a 38.5 on a beadlock and balancing is impossible, I can run about 45 and locally it's not so bad but I've been keeping my eye out for some road tires.  Yesterday I made a trip to Cleveland and picked up a set of 5x5.5 10x16.5 old school whites spokes.  I also picked up a set of 37x12.50x16.5 Radial Wrangler OZ military takeoffs. So should I leave them old school retro white or paint them black?  IF anyone had an XJ or MJ with white spokes please post them up.

I like white spokes on a white or dark colored truck. I think they are fitting to the time period these trucks were built in. I have used them on a lot of my vehicles through the years. If I could get them in a 17X9 for my Cummins I would be using them on it as well.

I say run them!

Thanks guys.... I really want to leave them white but I guess my only concern is I have alot of black on my truck and wonder how it would contrast.

I thought the same with mine since I went red/black on a white truck, I think it looks fine like that so yours will probably look fine being the opposite.

Now that I'm taking the rims off I'm trying to decide on a color scheme for the new H2s, I'm kinda thinking to stick with the red/black.

I wouldn't worry about it Chief - you already have a lot of contrasts already. A little more won't hurt.

besides, you can always change your mind later.  the red/black two-tone would look good too.

Right on..... cool pic.  I'll proabably go ahead and mount up the tires the way they are.  If I hate it I can just tape them off and paint them later.... thanks to everyone for the input.

Not really sure Don....I bought the truck from an old timer, who did a few "mods" to it.  You should have seen the homebrew "tonneau" cover on the bed, made from 1/2" plywood wrapped with a blue tarp.  Bonus points for the hasp lock/padlock that secured the topper from opening.....drilled right into the tailgate :)

They look a lot like the guards off an '80's GM truck or van.

Agree - was thinking the same thing. Definitely something GM - 80's.

Thanks everyone.... but I just put the rims up on craigslist for sale along with my Military Oz tires.  Found a guy with a 91 Comanche that's been wrecked in the front.  he's already pulled the motor and is planning to cut the frame off the back and make a trailer out of it and the bed.  I'm trying to talk him into selling me the whole truck as is.  So I need the cash.... hopefully I can talk some sense into this guy.
