cody.quattlebaum.16
Crazy peeps. Not exactly practicing off road safety or keeping the environment unaffected. Interesting so far. Super jeep is odd looking.
Incommando
I have it on DVR. I hope that it is real and not a fake & scripted "reality" show like Duck Dynasty, Pawn Stars, and those others.
mnkyboy
I have it on DVR. I hope that it is real and not a fake & scripted "reality" show like Duck Dynasty, Pawn Stars, and those others. X2. I'm going to be disappointed if it is.
mvusse
Bunch of mall crawlers driving on gravel roads. Either that or the film crew doesn't know what parts to shoot.
Incommando
Darn. I had hoped for more.

daking
I was looking forward to this show. Disappointed. 1. the rigs wore real low budget. You would think if you wore going to cross Alaska, you would build a decent rig. 2. fake drama. Clearly they made things out to be way bigger then needed. They wore basically making up issues (both in the trucks and between people) 3. Off Roading. They again over drama the trails. There was a scene with a hill, they acted like it was some un climbable hill, yet it was just a dirt road, going up a hill. For the most part, I'm sure an all wheel drive subaru would beat em all on the trails they took. (there was a mud pit, that was the worst thing they drove through).. Heck, I drove a mini van through harder stuff. I was hoping for some real off-roading. Some real trail breakage and fixes. Maybe some drama between racers. better built trucks. There wore many scenes that wore clearly blown outta proportion. Maybe it'll improve..
wombat
I agree daking. I hope though that it becomes a main stay series and gets better.
HOrnbrod
There's a very small segment of TV viewers who are even remotely interested watching offroading on TV. No sane producer or reality TV (which this is) network would spend big bucks on a show like this, at least at first. I think that's why the locale is Alaska. This could appeal to stray viewers with nothing more interesting to watch to tune in and look at the scenery. And of course the over-acted drama scenes prevalent in most all of the reality TV shows will suck more viewers in. All these new shows are hoping to become the next Pawn Stars or Duck Dynasty rating success story; it ain't gonna happen with this low-budget high-amateur travesty. 87Warrior
Maybe I was expecting very little out of this show, but I found it entertaining and watchable. I do agree the characters are little to be desired as is their trail etiquette. One of my life dreams is to drive to and through Alaska. Maybe that is why I found the show entertaining. I am glad to see everyday people rigs on the show, however they generally seem to not be completely built. Really, no lockers in the 90? The Jeep looks like something cobbled together and is ugly as sin. I like the 4runner run by the brother and sister.
Incommando
OMG was this terrible. Full of nasty stereotypes, lies, and fake scripted drama. It portrays 'wheelers in a very bad light. One goof explained that his "superjeep" is special because it has two transmissions...when all it has is a tranny and a transfer case....
gogmorgo
He's also got an overdrive unit. I may continue watching this season, but if it doesn't get better season two won't be happening for me. I was hoping for something more like TG USA's Alaska special. Too bad.
jbain
I guess I found it entertaining and plan to watch it. Everything said above is true and I could have likely completed everything they did in the first episode with a stock MJ on 31's. But I like reality television not for the fake of it but the parts they can't script.... I look forward to the Inevitable breakage and how they plan to fix it. A show about Tim Cameron and 5 other pro's slowly walking through this terrain in 100k bounce buggies would likely have been extremely boring. I guess I'm just a sucker for anything Off Road related.....
yxmj
Ha.....i just watched the first one and the teaser for the second......that guy rock'en the mullet better buckle up......or start wearing a helmet...
M1A1TankerTom
I agree with everybody, not the greatest show. I did find it entertaining though, and will continue to record it. It's better than what else is on at 0300 hours...working night shift ruins your days off.
ComancheKid45
It was alright.......no offroading show could be worse that "One car too far" :laughin: :wall:
gogmorgo
Heh, I remember that one. It was... weird. They were definitely trying to glorify the bush fixes. First and hopefully last time I ever see a Jeep with a wheel tied on, or sliding along on a log.
