Some damn old guy hit me Today while on my way to a jeep meeting to go off-roading :fs1: I'm so pissed because I already pay out the A$$ for car insurance so I don't know what's going to happen there and my neck and back are killing me :headpop: the worst part about this is that it wasn't even my car its my dads. Here are the pics

That sucks to hear. Your insurance should not go up if it was his fault. I have been hit 5 or 6 times and was always the other guys fault and my rates never went up. Sorry to hear that your in pain, I know how that feels and most people think you are lying because they can't see nothing wrong with you on the outside. Hope you feel better soon. On the other hand, did your dad know that you were going to go wheeling in his car.

Don't delay going to your doctor to document your injuries, and yes, "complaint of pain" is an injury. The other driver's insurance company will be on the hook for costs if the pain is legitimate and documented. Keep all medical records related to this in case your injuries ending up being longer lasting than expected. Good luck!

I'll agree that you should go get things documented... But, I'd not claim for monetary compensation unless it was actually legitimately affecting your life in a negative way. The reason insurance rates are so high is so many people figure that a fender bender equals 6 months of paid leave and some extra spending cash.

I destroyed a Ford Focus, and wrote off the truck I was driving in the process (don't worry, it wasn't a MJ), and all of the cops/ems were saying "Oh, you're going to be so sore tomorrow." I got up the next day and felt fine.

Unless you were somehow in the wrong here, I wouldn't sweat it too much. Pardon my French, but @#$%ing old people in FL don't know how to drive worth $#!&! I've been seeing crap like that and have almost got into about 5 accidents since I've been driving because some old fogie thought they could pull out ahead of me, or tailgate 3 inches from my rear bumper.

 Rant over; and yes, I do also realize that kids today drive like morons too. But down here in FL, it's like bizarro world or something.

Complaints aside, keep an eye on what's bothering you, and like MJRemi wrote, if the pain is still there after a few days, go to the doctor and put it on that guy's tab.

One word after an accident that I know.

Chiropractor!!!

I have a chiropractor and I called him at home on Saturday, the day after my accident. He met me at the office and got me back into place. The best phone call I have ever made!! I wasn't sore the day of but the next day I could barely function.

Sorry about the car, your dad probably wasn't pleased either.

OH, one question. Why were you on the way to meet some Jeep guys to go wheelin' in your dads CAR???

I know, I could only imagine what something at speed could do

Lets just say cops around here are "healthy" lol and them crumple zones are somthing ;)

What none of yall think you could keep up with a bunch of jeeps in a 07 corral? :chillin: no I was planning on meeting them and hitch a ride in a buddy's TJ since mines still under the knife :(

Either through your insurance company (who will get reimbursed from other driver) or directly from the other driver's insurance, you should be driving a loaner until yours is fixed. You should not be out any money, be it medical, repairs, or lost work. Keep an accurate tab of all expenses and losses related to the accident and provide the itemized totals to your insurance agent.

Don't know how the law is in Florida, but here in Ohio if the other person is at fault and you can't work as a direct result of the accident, he (not his insurance company) is responsible for any lost wages.
