sinkrun
Sounds good to me at that price I would jump on it. The axles worth a couple hundred and the rest should part out at what you have in it easily. I may be interested in the hitch if you get it. :brows:

jtdesigns
450 is to much.. Give'em 2 cash maybe 3 if you have to.
JeepcoMJ
You take what you want out of it, and I'd paypal you $450 for the body...even after you strip what you can sell. Just need the bed, doors, fenders, cab, front axle, and front clip. Then I'd pick it up in about a month and a half. That's a good price. I'd pay a thousand for a rust free body if I found it near and didn't have to travel.
HOrnbrod
Well, the overwhelming majority says yea, except JT of course. :D I'm just looking to get a free D44 and maybe pay for maybe half the regear. The bucket brackets ought to go for at least 100 bones, tailgate for 200, and the cargo light for 300, right?

HOrnbrod
It wouldn't take much to put her back on the road. The old guy bought her new from Jasper Jeep in GA (the only new vehicle he ever bought new in his life), is kind of hurting financially, and has a lot of sentimental attachment to it. I'm going to see him tomorrow with the cash. All I want is the D44 really. I offered to give him my D35 with cash, but he doesn't want a 4.10 ratio. The old gent will never finish the MJ. He has some nice old Studebaker trucks around, a nice J30, and a 40 Ford coupe in various stages of disrepair. Even had a neat trailer he build back in the day using a cut down Hudson pickup bed w. a canopy. All he does now is work on the neighbor's lawn mowers occasionally. Kind of sad............... No Pete, I rolled it down just see if the regulators worked. Put me in line for the, rear flares rear hitch the lower moldings headliner board interior lights Will do Bo. Don't have it yet. Old guy was hemming and hawing (sp?) over the price and will yak forever if you let him. Sharp as hell though. He's what we used to call a "non-finisher" in the Nav........ You know the type. kro10000
Youd have to put it back together. Parting out a truck like that should be illegal
HOrnbrod
Went over there yesterday to close the deal, and the old guy says he's been thinking about it, and now wants $800 for the Laredo. He says that if I were to put it back on the road he'd let it go cheaper, but he doesn't want it parted out. :fs1: Well, it looks like it's going to sit in his driveway and slowly rot away like all the other stuff he has. What a shame...........

What a shame........... then call him, tell him you have a buyer for it less rear axle. you get your axle, and you sell the truck if you honor that, and it's gone. that is NOT a truck to be parted out. Automan2164
that is NOT a truck to be parted out. x50 bazillion. :waving: I am also in this boat Don. I say you pick it up and turn it into a full resto. I mean, Eliminators are rare, but I don't think they can hold a torch to the rarity of the Laredo. Not too many people wanted an optioned out work truck in the '80's. Buy it Don, and thank us later. Rob L.
shelbyluvv
I bet you can get him down to $600. You will get your rear axle and easily make your money back off parting it out. Hell, I am interested in most of the interior and all the other stuff I listed. Buy the truck Don. I need those parts for mine. Screw what they say about it being rare, blah, blah, blah. I hear that all the time and still see these trucks selling dirt cheap. If they were so rare they would be fetching a lot more money.
