very clean, especially under the hood. there are definitely a few style things I don't care for (like the grille), but whatever.

Is it really lowered 3 inches? What coils? What front shocks? Did you modify the bumpstops (mine have only 2" of compression stock)? How's the oil pan to axle clearance?

I like the flareless look, did you weld up the holes or just use bondo?

I like it, very cool, esp. the SBC. You need to get four matching wheels, though! ;)

Are you running manual steering??

Yeah, and, uh, shouldn't the fat tires go in back?!

There is a nice frame drop MJ build that you should check out in the projects.

I think cutting the bed wells out and stuffing some fatty slicks under there would be cool. Not sure how much you can get between the frame, but that and those skinnys up front would be pretty cool.

Is it a D44 rear or something else?

The no flare treatment is interesting too.

flares are on the way (back ordered) the wheels I'm gonna run are these in a 20 inch sizedirtydog5.jpg

yes I'm running "armstrong" steering

no i havn't altered the bumpstops...I'm constantly bouncing off of them. the wheels that are in the pics. the wider ones are on the back thats just the offset of the front wheels.

Very nice looking, I was actually thinking of a similar direction with my 88, but money was tight and I'm now buying an 86 4wd, so maybe one of these decades I'll be able to.

Aren't those traction bars going to hang up on the rocks???? :D

It is a nice looking truck.

I kinda thought about building a street 'manche, but then I saw all the 4wd parts I've got laying around. comanche.gif

jb hill is doing a sick street MJ

i went up there to pick up an axle and my bedliner and saw some of it.

all i can tell you about it is

RHD setup

S10 IFS up front.. !*)^%! WOAH

hopefully he'll drop by with some more.

I'm with brett, i like about everything ESPECIALLY THE MOTOR!

but not to crazy bout the grill. bet you've got a sick 0-60 with that huh?

If you want to go with power steering you can use the PS unit from a 1985 chevy G20 sportvan. The unit itself will fit with about 1/4" of space between the pulley and the steering box. But here is the cool part, the reservoir is a remote type and there is a place on the rad support that it will bolt right on with existing bolts. As far as fabbing all you have to do is cut a slit in the bracket on the reservoir about a half inch deep and I welded a tab on the rad support for side to side stability for the reservoir. P.S. I am not sure if it makes any difference but mine is an early 86' that came with the GM V6 so that might be why all the PS lines matched up with the gear box.
