or, 92 4.0 anything

Say what? Do folks really want these? Had no idea mine was a 'gem'

I figure any Laredo is a decent find.

92 is pretty rare. Not only was it the last production year, but it was also the year they made the least amount of them. I had an opportunity to get a 92 2.5/2wd/AX-4(or5) awhile ago but didn't get it because I didn't need another 2wd 4cyl. Now I wished I'd gotten it.

I would think any stock 4.0 HO MJ would be sought after pretty well, since the HO was only in 2 years.

And I got me one of them. jamminz.gif

I looked for a couple of years for a 92 HO; could not find one that wasn't all rotted out or one I wanted. This was like 7-8 years ago. So I settled for my 91. As long as it was an HO and not a Renix! The 92s are the "elite of the fleet", they are scarce, and will only increase in value more than the rest. I wouldn't do anything to your 92 that couldn't easily be undone back to stock in case you ever want to sell it.

Good deal, I have no plan on lifting, cutting, or drilling the truck :clapping:

Wow, mine must be really rare. :D

1992

rust free

no water leaks

I'm modifying mine and then I'm gonna wheel it. Some people tell me not to because it has a straight rust-free body. They tell me to save it. But save it for what?? I don't think it will ever be worth anything.

Maybe I'm wrong. I just plan on enjoying it as much as possible.

Save it if you ever plan on selling it. Otherwise, if you're like me and are gonna take it to the grave, do whatever you want to it. But then there's the arguement I had when I got talked to about "resale value" when I knocked out a wall in my house. Why should I have to live in a house someone else likes?

I'm with johnnyc. I have my 92 H.O. - I've already converted it to 4wd, put in a 42re auto with a manual valve body, np242 transfer case, d44 rear end w/ detroit, got a trussed non-disco front end with a Superior Super 30 (30 spline) ARB and chomoly axle kit that will go in when I'm finished building it, blah blah blah...

But I also am going to have to pay for a huge cemetery plot cuz I'm going to be buried in it with my hands duct taped to the wheel!

One of these days I'll do a full write up on the entire build.

But back to topic...

I can't find the pic of it, but my most sought after MJ is the Jeeptricks Jeepspeed Comanche. Stroked out 4.0 w/ alum head, Rubicon express long arm, blah blah blah , and a 2500 Cherokee front end....WICKED truck.
