mjeff87
halftime......this thing is getting painful to watch from all sides. Roughing the kicker????? come on, gimme a break. I guess the zebras are making up for the BS calls they made in the first quarter against us. I still say that first field goal should have been a TD. He caught the ball, and made a "football move" as they say nowadays. I guess the ground really CAN cause a fumble, depends on who's calling it. Second half, we need one score (screwed up that last drive before halftime throwing over the middle like that). One TD in the 3rd, and it'll be ground-and-pound, clock management, DEFENSE, classic Black and White. Final score preditction, 23/17 Steelers (I hope ;) )

SuperWade2
Not really watching the game (tivo'ing it) and I don't mind the Steelers winning, but I'd prefer they do it by less than 5 Points... :chillin:
mjeff87
+3 more is good, but we still need the TD. I'm hoping Flaco tries to force one and Troy finally gets the in the deserves to get, and that sets up a scoring drive. Wade.....I'm guessing your betting against the spread? :D Jeff

mjeff87
Niiiiiice... I figured they would have thrown in a field goal somewhere along the way, but they didn't. Then they would have covered.... almost spit out my beer when Troy intercepted ;) I predict Steelers +11 in the Bowl.
SuperWade2
I predict Steelers +11 in the Bowl. I think the Vegas books with disagree with you...I think it will be close or ARI win outright... SW2

BLHTAZ
I think the biggest thing on the Steelers side in this one is experience. They will have the composure frm being there before where the Cardinals are going to be fighting the new experience. I don't care how composed a team is in getting to the Super Bowl...it's a different world when you get there and a huge hurdle to overcome being the first time there. The Cardinals are most definitely impressive and it has been the underdog (Wild Card team) to win the Super Bowl the last three years although the Cardinals are not Wild Card. As it should be in the big game...I don't really see a clear pick to dominate. This could easily go either way, but Super Bowls have most often been dominated by one or the other and are not typically a tight battle unfortunately. I personally like games (Super Bowl or not) that end in very low scores.
HOrnbrod
I agree with the experience factor. Look how many times it took Elway and company to finally get it right. :D As long as the Cardinals are not satisfied with getting to the Show and just "show up", they have a good shot at winning. It's up to their coaching staff and team leaders to keep them fired up. I hope they win since I like the NFC, but they are not the team I wanted to see in there. And I'm not holding my breath. :brows:

BLHTAZ
Got this in an email today... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 'Twas the night before the Super Bowl, when along the gulf shore, Steelers fans were praying for "just one more." The players were nestled all snug in the sack, With visions of the first NFL Six-Pack. Coach Tomlin was young, but wise for his years, So I drifted off to sleep without any fears. When at the stadium there arose some strange chatter, The Cardinals feared, what was the matter? We heard "Okel Dokel", we heard "Double Yoi," We jumped from our beds, our hearts jumped for joy. He stood at the fifty with a grin ear to ear, Steelers fans everywhere started to cheer. Then in an instant to our surprise, This little old man had tears in his eyes. He went to the booth and there took his chair, While Terrible Towels waved in the air. Then over the airwaves came his shrill voice, The Steelers Nation began to rejoice. He said, "I am back, but you know I can't stay, I just had to see my Steelers play. From my home up above, I have a great view, But I wanted to celebrate here with you. So bring on the Birds, we'll send them a flyin', On the way back to Phoenix, they will be cryin'. Ben, Hines, Troy, Jeff and all of the rest, No matter the outcome, to me you're the best." The airwaves went silent, the stadium still, Was this just a dream, it seemed so real. In our team we have faith, In our team we have hope, But the game's not the same without Myron Cope. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
