  1. This is more complicated, but you could make a plug and play headlight relay harness that uses 3 relays to put the headlights in series, so they would run at ~6V each. The attached diagram is for fans, but it would work for headlights.
  2. Yep, two lines for the rear heater core, two for the discharge/suction for the rear evaporator. There's an aftermarket company that makes replacement lines from barrier hose, so flexible the entire way back, so much easier to install, but still over $400 just for the two AC lines.
  3. I really have been meaning to get up there. I got the notification they added 3 pre 96s. Life happens though
  4. This is ridiculous. 12+ ft of rear heater hose and AC line combo. Over $500 our cost from the dealer. Buick Enclave's are the worst ( along with Traverse, Acadia, Outlook, etc)

    back up to 5 :)

Is that from the one at Sunshine in Orangeburg?
  6. I really need to replace my window seals so that I can get my windows tinted eventually.
  7. Well, look there. Two seats!
  8. Newer Honda's also use what's called indirect TPMS, based on wheel speed. GMs in the early 2000s used a much cruder version. My 2001 Alero (bleh) had this, and the reset button was in the fuse box. My 02 WJ Limited had a spare tire sensor, and knew which was the spare, also. It would flag Spare Tire Pressure Low. It also had automatic wipers, something I miss and don't see on many new cars.
  9. Yours may be the only truck I've ever liked Gamblers on, very nice. Should make a very nice camping truck. I dig the brush guard.
  10. It will try to close the IAC to bring the idle back down, but if the leak is substantial (more than closing the IAC can handle), there's nothing it can do.
  11. The ECU isn't dumb. It can see a leaner mixture and adjusts the fuel trims to keep the engine running at an appropriate air/fuel mixture. Go unhook a vacuum line on any gasoline fueled running engine. It will rev up, unless it's so large of a vacuum leak that the computer can't compensate, in which case it will run poorly or stall.
  12. Which the oxygen sensor provides/commands when it senses a lean mixture.
  13. I can't remember if I've told you this or not, but I absolutely love everything about your Comanche. Blue MJs are best MJs.
  14. Uh, no. How do you think an IAC or throttle body affects the idle? By letting more air in. Vacuum leaks can and will raise your idle.
  15. I forgot to include my other main rides, both Honda's.
  16. Just keep an eye on the sliding doors, you'd better replace the rollers as soon as they start making noise than have to buy the closer motor/cable, trust me.
  17. My 2004 Sierra and the MJ split daily duty.
  18. Wishing you luck on the title, bed looks clean!
  19. My problem is I like the early interiors and trims, but the later, HO powertrain. I mean, I would love a 92 longbed, 4WD, AX15,4.0 HO, but in the style of the white 86 MJ with the orange and red 4x4 stripes. Turbines, grey cloth buckets, brushguard, Dana 44, sportbar with lights. Perfecto.
  20. Do you know why it was at an insurance auction?
  21. Do you have good air flow? If you had something completely blocking the heater core you would have poor air flow out of the vents. I've seen parallel flow heater cores that had flow through but the bottom two-thirds were sludged up, causing very weak heat. I wonder if that's what's happening here.
  22. I like to think I'm open minded about new foods, but I don't think I want to try something that is prepared in LYE.
  23. How does your temperature blend door cable feel? It's possible that the foam seals on the blend door are shot with age. What kind of temps are you seeing on your heater hoses? I like to see at least 160 at operating temp.
  24. Spent Saturday doing seat work. My driver's bottom cushion leaned towards the left, so I swapped the cover off of it to a spare cushion, replaced the factory bucket seat brackets with Krustys fabbed ones. I didn't really want to do that, but somehow I managed to misplace the factory passenger bucket seat with brackets attached. An entire seat, gone. I have no clue. I swapped seat covers and foam onto my other 2dr XJ bucket to install, just waiting for another evening to assemble them. I got rid of a factory horn that sounded like stepping on a dying goat and replaced it with a Hella horn I had lying around. Much louder and better Also pictured, my MJ console insert I salvaged from an 87 Chief that has the E brake handle block off plate. sound
  25. That is incredibly cool! Dad goals.
