Well, the time is coming that i should finally hop back on the 3800 and rerestore it. My dad and i have been discussing it lately and are moving it up on our list of priorities.with this in mind, we have also been discussing what to do with our 86 comanche turbo diesel. it is in rough shape....a parts truck for someone looking to do a conversion, but we have a brand spanking new motor for it. We have decided that it needs to go to a good home where someone can use it to support their bad habit, or rebuild their own nice 86 chassis into a turbo diesel. Either way, i have made an offer to a rather busy member to let them buy it. if they don't take the offer, it will be available for anyone on ebay to purchase, with everything we have for it included. The purpose of selling it is that we need the space, the 3800 honestly is much cooler and gets similar fuel mileage to the diesel, and i have a long term project in the works.I have began the order process for a set of dually fenders for an mj. Once the 3800 is back on the road, my current dd (99 2dr 5spd xj with stroker) will have the honor of being mated to a longbed comanche right at the door jamb. As you have probably gleamed, it will be a dualy. it will have fullsize running gear when completed. the debate on it is what to do about the motor. Do we keep the 4.0 stroker? or do we build a 4bt for it? the budget won't be high for this one, and it will have to be done in stages.I guess i am asking advice on direction for that project, as well as advice for what to ask for the diesel? I understand that the market for them is small....and while there may be a limited interest in one in rough shape physically, the simple fact is...if you have one, you can't find parts...and if you do, they are not even remotely cheap.cheers, and merrry christmas

Since I don't buy gifts for others, I don't recieve them. Whole family is like that. So, bought myself another cornwell (aircat) CAT 2150 3/8 drive impact. Now I've got around a good choice in impacts alone...have two sets of 3/8 , 1/2, &.1/4 impacts...also got a new phone and switched to u.s. Cellular. Samsung galaxy note 2. Too big for my pocket, but perfect for my needs.

Crate training is necessary now. if we didnt crate our dogs, they would tare apart the house overnight. My mother coddled them, and while otherwise well trained, they can't deal with seperation or being unsupervised. Kennel training is important because the dog learns it's normal and doesn't learn to associate it with it's "parents" leaving for an extended period of time. I put down a dog because it would literally try and destroy it's kennel, causing great self harm. It would get out no matter what the kennel, then destroy everything in sight, while bleeding everywhere, and would not shut up. It was a rescue that obviously had mental illness....but it's original owners screwed the dog up, leading to this. After over $1500 in damage, and what the vet bill would be, he was of no metaphorical, physical, or emotional value. The days where you could leave your dog out when you leave are gone. Too much chance of law suit for any number of reasons. Rob, just be patient. Make sure you don't use the kennel in a negative light at first....accidents will happen when they're young. Once they know better, them you can "punish" them with "go to your kennel" etc. just make sure he feels like the kennel is his own house

Jeep Cherokee Turbo Diesel Engine On Ebay
JeepcoMJ replied to Wrz's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
Seller is flat out wrong. 85-87 cherokee/comanche only. maybe 88. continental U.S. only in other countries would that bolt up in another year, and in 91, most countries adopted the 2.5l VM turbo diesel. bolts to an ax5, but has a 2.1 specific input shaft and bell housing. -
I will point and shoot happily to retain my rights. These unconstitutional laws are why we have the second amendment. America will officially be dead as a result of this.

I want every mj I see.

I really wanted to date those asian singles.

Where To Find A Fuel Sending Unit.....???
JeepcoMJ replied to 88blackpearl's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
shoot me a pm. I have several different sending units for comanches on the shelf. they are used, but functional. Both H.O. or Renix. -
xcause they really have room on a submarine to store things like tampons. congrats to the women, of course...but i wouldnt want to be stuck on a submarine with one at that time.
-
They directly replace it.

have one all cleaned up, ready to go. I don't have the bolts for it (they are longer), but they are the same as a 4.0l valve cover. uploading pics now. I took apart the PCV's, cleaned and blasted the inside. there are a couple of chips in the paint but it looks good. if you want to paint it, you can, but don't need to. order up a gasket for a 91+ 4 cyl, and call it a day. this one is off of a 96 xj, so it has the newer PCV's anyways. The hose that is on it is not the right one. I don't have the one from a 2.5, but I do have one from a 4.0 that I will include, rather than the one pictured. That part of the PCV goes to the airbox, the little brass fitting is the one that goes to the intake manifold. pm me if interested.

Lucked out on the diesel and the 92, found a parts mj for the 88...it was a chief. 3800 isn't factory mt either, parts from another mj. Has a 44 and mt springs, but I have another amc20 for it. Rob's big ton window came from me, too

Wives & Gf Jealousy (& Jays 5.9 Relationship) Thread
JeepcoMJ replied to terrawombat's topic in The Pub
I'm staying single.....never had a relationship where I felt bad after the breakup. Always felt relief that I didn't have to deal with her anymore. Maybe I've not met the right one, but I'm not looking. Good on you guys for finding them, and congrats to your wife TW. -
3 on my property, soon to be 4 86 turbo diesel metric ton 88 pioneer 4.0 4x4 metric ton (installed MT and 44, not factory) 86 w/ buick 3800, metric ton soon to have 92 (91 production) 4.0/ho/4x4/MT from factory. picking it up this week..no rust, nice body, bad paint job (I did the body work so I know it has no bad history or bondo) then there's wade (89eliminator) with his just north of here Aaron (brutalxj or Miller99 depending on the forum) with his 91 4cyl there are two more in burlington, several in janesville, brent up by madison, etc. so there are quite a few around here

Nope, plug and play. What is the part number on that ecu....i have a bunch of them.
-
Automotive paint thinner...i use that sh%t on everything . Doesnt hurt rubber if you don't soak it
-
Yup. Plug for it is under the passenger seat, but you need the power harness and heated seat harness.
-
Thanks. Pm me. You will need a box cutter to cut the carpet to get the harness for the seats out.
-
Air compressor, followed very very closely by the parts washer and bead blast cabinet
-
I would the control switch and wiring if you could get them. At least the pigtail from the harness. The power seat mounts and harness would be sweet to... Thanks Pat
