91 and newer, using a 91 and newer gasket as well. you'll need to do some PCV retrofit stuff to make it work.
-
you need the complete engine harness, ALL engine equipment and accessories, need to make a jumper to adapt the renix fuel lines to H.O. fuel lines, you need the transmission wiring harness (ties into the engine bay harness), and you need the complete dash harness along with all of the dash electrical assemblies plus the 96 steering column. oh, and the cooling system, too. if all you have is the engine electrical, you don't have enough. there is not a feasible way to make that work.

and all of those chip guards are JUNK.

The Replacement...now running!

motor's junk. exhaust comes out of the radiator cap, and the oil is white. dipstick covered in "oil" new battery and terminals temporary plug on radiator....never had a petcock, I'm tossing the rad since the fins are rotting off removed the push button starter. PO bypassed the relay, relay wouldn't close because the NSS wouldn't ground it. so, I removed the ghetto-@$$ NSS and bypassed the NSS temporarily until I can clean it junk front clip off. the washer reservoir isn't even cracked...just needs one pump because the nipple cracked off racks back on interior all apart nasty carpet power, HEATED mirrors rear trunk, factory trailer plug rear seat cleaned front clean -
the 4.3 liter is a 90 degree gm bellhousing, which is NOT the same as a 2.8 or 3.4. the 2.8/3.4 is a 60 degree gm bellhousing. just because something uses a similar bellhousing does NOT say that the flywheel will work...and the 90 degree blocks aren't even close to workable with the 60 degree setup. you want a stronger plower/grader? get rid of the ratty POS 2.8 in the s10, or swap in a 350. those are your options.

I wish we could organize sales times so we don't flood the market.....some dicks cost me money on the last set I sold. had to let them go for $55 because someone pm'd the buyer and showed him some other sets.
-
considering that the 4.3 is an internally balanced motor, with a completely different engine design, no...it won't. a 3.4 flywheel also won't work, unless you go and have it balanced to meet the 2.8 flywheel specs exactly. on the 2.8 liters, the flywheel balances the engine.

bypass neutral saftey bypass
JeepcoMJ replied to asm4mcc's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
lead's method is just dumb. a "jumper" can fall out. B and C (black and black with tracer) are to get it started. I forget which one is for bypassing the switch to get it to start. -
and it doesn't look like they use any more mounts than normal. plus, those look like the stock mounts.

WTB: 4.0L Oil pan, RENIX dash harness w/radio option. IL/WI
JeepcoMJ replied to Automan2164's topic in Wanted
I have the gauge cluster, radio, and interior. I will trade all of that to you for the light blue stuff that's in the truck. why do you need a bed? aren't you going to sell the rev and wheel the H.O.? -
hey now....

bypass neutral saftey bypass
JeepcoMJ replied to asm4mcc's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
that pinout that Lead_not_follow posted is wrong. take the TRANSMISSION side of the connector, disconnect it. drop it down below the jeep so you can see it better, unless you can see it fine where you're at. cut the two black wires in the middle on one side (B and C IIRC), and splice them together. don't forget to use a heat shrink tube on it. -
I got a "defective" AGR pump for free. put it in my wheeler. steering is now sloppy, but I need to adjust a few things in the box. I'm confident that the box is just fine and simply needs adjustment. That said, I would NEVER buy one. that's probably because I'm a cheap@$$, though.

Can I fit (5) 35x12.5r15" Tires *IN* my SWB?
JeepcoMJ replied to SuperWade2's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
with alot of trimming and proper bumpstopping, yes. -
i've heard nothing but good things about these mounts. you can remove the bolts from the 4.0 block, and make them if no one else makes them.

Working in the service world SUCKS. I work on coke fountain equipment, sara lee coffee equipment, etc. Right now I'm bouncing between night and day jobs. it SUCKS...when you get used to sleeping days, you're back to sleeping nights. That is, IF you have time to sleep. the other night, we removed the old line in a mcdonalds in Escanaba, MI, and installed new insulated line so we could have spare lines left over. we also added doctor pepper and caffeine free diet coke (:ack:). on startup, the multiplex (syrup chiller) in the back room would NOT run the carbonators or recirculator pumps, the refrigeration was seizing every once in awhile, and the syrup coils were froze up because the refrigeration was low or the ice bank sensor was junk...so the ice bank didn't build up properly. it was 3am then. We didn't leave til 10:45am...we don't work on refrigeration, and we don't carry parts for multiplexes other than carb pumps, motors, etc. This is a situation where the service company will come out and fix their problem. especially because we DID NOT cause the problem. but...NO. it had to be fixed here and now. no matter that we fixed 15 other problems while we were there. we didn't have the parts, the store owner didn't give a rat's @$$. end result, we got screwed into a 15 hour night, and had to hodge-podge the machine together, just to get it to work. customer doesn't realize yet that it's pretty much going to be impossible to make it work without replacing everything electronic, including wires. idiots....better to be down for half a day than to cost yourself money. serve soda from bottles.

The Replacement...now running!

lol, well I'm not selling it. my dad will probably drive it for awhile, but I'm not selling it. -
I had assumed that it was $500 w/o the tires, considering that the tires are for sale. That said, I don't want the rims/tires...wonder what he wants w/o those...
-
I'm not interested in making it harder than it has to be. it's going to need repainted, and the B and A pillars are both fubar'd....no way to straighten them appropriately.
-
I have the space, I'm nearby Wade, and when I finish my heated side of the pole barn it can sit there as long as it takes. I've got the entire cab covered. the fenders will probably be no good, hood is bad, bet the header is cracked, bed's probably wrecked. I can get all of the parts to throw at it but the bed. replacing the cab will involve alot of spot weld drilling.
-
talked to owner, $500 buys it, outright.
-
umm. @#$% if I know....I don't own it. it didn't have a stock bumper, his phone number is right there. call him, don't ask me.
