  1. Was the new TPS set to the correct voltage?
  2. Well the radiator finally gave up on this truck this week, got it swapped with a spare and gave it a fresh oil change this afternoon. This truck isnt run much but I sure don't wanna see it neglected ;)
  3. Feel free to ask this question in the wanted section of the classifieds....probably get a few offers there ;)
  4. Well its taken the better part of 9 months but i finally cured the slight missing and stumble issue with this truck. A bad spark plug (that was installed shortly after purchase) has been the culprit the whole time! 6 fresh Champion Copper RC9YC plugs and this baby runs the best it ever has under my ownership! I'm thrilled to finally have gotten to the bottom of this issue! More happy days ahead on the road for Oscar!
  5. No cool Jeep pics of us 2, but i guess this 1 works...
  6. Any OBD1 4.0L should be a near direct swap, yes.
  7. Nope, just the rairity factor of a true 1992 model truck, btw, this truck is Stunning!
  8. Could be 1 or many things. Start simple... Check Manfold bolts for looseness Clean TB and IAC check TPS voltage check all vacuum lines and hoses.
  9. There 4 of them in my family and probably another 6 or so that run around the area....most of them are still in fairly decent shape.
  10. Definently revolvers. So are we to the conclusion that they don't help suspension travel at all and are unsafe? Ive always have the idea to try em out someday...
  11. Love the wrap job!
  12. Definently thinking timing or even a clogged exhaust somewhere...
  13. Spent a few hours in the garage messin with a few things. Decided to ditch the likely stock, ugly and worn out shocks with a nicer pair from Rock Auto. Cody hung out all afternoon as well, 13 years old and still loves going to the garage with me :) I'm nit picking away at this truck fairly quickly, but still have some projects left to go though before she comes out again next year ;)
  14. Sure why not....^That! haha
  15. My dream someday is to take an early 80s J truck like this 1 and swap a 12v Cummins under the hood......Dream Dream Dream

  17. Many tire shines include a UV protectant, just keep them shined up and/or covered is the best things you can do ;)
  18. Hey guys, I recently picked up a 1991 XJ and noticed the "Maint Req" light was on. I know on the Renix equipt vehicles theres a small timer box under the dash that mearly has to be unplugged to resolve the problem. However there doesnt appear to be a similar solution on this 91. I'm new to the OBD1 Jeeps and this is my 1st 91-95 XJ ive had the pleasure of working with. I do plan on replacing the o2 sensor shortly. Just was curious on how to reset the light? Thanks!
  19. Delt with the same problem a year or so ago....haha
  20. Very good work and a great revival. The hard work youve put into this thing will be well remembered by us knowing an average pickup owner would have just thrown this out for another truck.....I as well as many I'm sure sincerely appreciate the effort and ressurection youve givin this truck once again.
  21. Yep....not a bad job at all
  22. Ha no kiddin, I apolagize then for my lack of facts. I'm sure this knowledge will come in handy then 1 of these days....Thanks!
  23. Which a 2wd beam axle has no dummy shafts or unit bearings :hmm: hows that work? :dunno:
  24. Acctually got the truck out in the mountains and did alittle exploring with a few fellas, Nothing too crazy, just a relaxing afternoon of driving through the wild.
