lol yeah Pete i know what ya mean, figuring them things out was a pain when i worked at the Dealership.....how can something so simple be made so complicated?
Changed the Tranny Fluid (atleast drained the pans) in the XJ and the MJ. Both looked really good and gave em both alittle road time.
Have a new bump stop for the MJ to replace 1 that rusted off over the winter, lol
Yeah at The Local Advance Auto they have the Vavoline Maxlife, Castrol Dex/Merc and their cheapie store brand stuff.....which 1 would be the best option or should i look elsewhere?
I'm planning on Changing my fluid soon and was wondering if theres any other or specific Brands of ATF Fluid i should buy. I'm gonna be doing the simple Drain pan, Drive an oil change interval and then drain again i heard this is about the most efficiant way you can do it buy yourself. thanks for any other info.
Also i have a 96 XJ with an Auto as well so i think it its the same AW4 (similar) and its service can be performed the same as the MJs Tranny.
I had Wildman send me a repaired 1 and I sent him my bad 1 in return, idk if he's still doing this but that was about the only option back around February 2008 when i replaced mine
Ive been having this issue as well and even after replacing the IAC and cleaning everything completly it still does it now and then.....Its a jeep thing to me, i can live with it  :smart:
Theres an 86 near me i dive by 4-5 times a week that never moves, just sits along the road, If it wasnt for the fact its a 2.8 id be more intrested in asking if they like to pass it on  but it just sits there and rusts, and rusts, and rusts...
Check into the Hankook Dynapro Mts.....Ive had nothing but good results outta mine over the past 18 months. Work great Offroad and ride very nicely on road.
