How do side mirrors come apart?
ComancheKid45 replied to fiatslug87's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Should be 3 screws behind the interior door panel... -
Alright well I installed an aftermarket cone filter with outerware on my stock intake tube in spring 2008, now since then ive read my share of "Intake mods don't work" and so on. Basically ive been wondering if it would be in my best intrest to ditch that setup and go back to the stock Airbox and drop in filters? I have a 96 XJ that has a factory intake setup and it seems like it just has more get up to it than my truck, now my MJ is on 30s (3:55s) and the XJ is on 235/75s (also 3:55s i think) and also had a HO Engine but is my intake hurtin my truck that much or is that just difference in 8 yrs of 4.0L Technology? Anyway the truck runs great and has been tuned up and maintained properly, I'm just basically looking for any other advice on Intake setups.....thanks!

Theres a guy here in my town selling his 91 Eliminator, 4.0L, 77k orgional miles, AX15, Dana 44 Rear, PERFECT Body, Drop in liner, Tanou cover, ect... not even more than a scratch, factory side deacals everything, Hell even the underside has been undercoated atleast twice throughout its life the only issue is, it must still mean alot to him because its priced at $5300. My Dad and Uncle offered him $4000 and he strongly rejected so were gonna give it time and possibly someday I will have a peice of MJ history in my family. Ill try and snap a pic next time i drive by but I basically tryed to explain to my mom how i felt about a truck like that. I pretty much said "You know how dad treats his Viper? Yeah thats how this truck would be treated" I'm talkin showroom condition. So we'll see what comes out of it, I just hope if anyone does buy it for near $5000 I hope they realize what they would have

Yes......another lift question...
ComancheKid45 replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Alright ill defently get Aftermarket extended Brake lines when i order the lift. So is it in my best intrest to find another set of OEM MJ or a set of 1" lift shackles off an XJ, because i currently only have the M.O. Shackle and its gonna be atleast 1" higher and my stock MJ shackles were used on my trailer. I don't do any real serious offroading just the occasional pile to flex on and alot of Mountain driving. Thanks for the help  -
Wish i could find a truck like that under a tree....Looks like a Great find

Alright well before 2 long the time will finally be here to throw a Motion Offroad 3" kit under my MJ. My main question is will adding an extra 1" to the lift really throw anything out of wack? I'm sitting on a M.O. 1.5" BB right now, I'm going to be ditching the 1.5" spacer up front for a .75" spacer and out back ill drop the Lift Shackle to 1"...so really ill be at aprx. 3.75" up front and 4" in the rear with the 3" kit installed. The kit comes with pretty much everything ill need except Brake lines....Are aftermarket lines needed with no more than 4" of lift on either end? Also will only LCAs be alright or should i find a set of uppers also? This truck sees the occasional Mountain trail (roads mainly) and is DD on most days but No major wheeling by any means and i plan to run 31.10.50 tires and have no plans to go bigger. Sorry its alot to cover but I figured i better get all the info i can now before i start spendin money  Thanks!

Where the heck is the radiator cap
ComancheKid45 replied to 88pioneer's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The Renix motors are a closed Cooling system, the Radiator cap doubles as the coolant resevior cap back at the top left of the engine bay. -
hope i'm doing this right lol

I bought a set of bumpers off a guy on Ebay whos about 1.5 hrs north of me, their from a place called Ryans 4x4, just a small shop up there. I like decals (stickers) on alot of my stuff and i think they make my MJ what it is. Hopefully by winter ill be ready for some nice wheelin in the mountains. Ill keep everyone updated! O yeah here's the link to the Ebay store of Ryans 4x4, ill also get some other pics of my bumper and my truck hopefully soon after my floors and bedsides are repaired  http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Ryans-Truck ... lol, you sound like my friends :clapping: ......Acctually its just a rebuilt Stocker as far as i know, it was replaced back in 2004 and I can kick all the lights on including High Beams and the dash lights don't even dim! I don't like to run everything at once though but so far the Alternator and Battery seem to be taking the load fine  -
I took advantage of the 6 pack deal so i should have plenty more left if i ever find more projects for it, also got a pack of brushes as well
