10W30 motor oil is frequently used in the Aisin transmissions in our trucks. Pennzoil Syncromesh($) and Redline MT-90($$$$) are said to make it shift better. Regular gear oil will just eat the syncros. Keep in mind that the transfer case takes automatic transmission fluid. I believe you use Dexron/Mercon. The diffs take 75W-90 gear oil for normal driving, 75W-140 if you plan to tow anything.

If you can't find it on Ebay, Rockauto, Quadratec or Morris 4x4, you will probably either be able to find it here or at a junkyard. There's a guy on this forum who can make you a brand new headliner - I have one and they're pretty nice. Everything from the doors forward on the outside of these trucks directly swaps from Cherokees (like turn signal lenses) and some interior parts as well. Oil wise, 10/30 is a good bet. Some people use Shell Rotella T5 and T6 in their engines with good results. Oil is extremely subjective and you'll find a million arguments for a million products if you look.

3 months really isn't that long for a vehicle to sit, but it won't hurt to do as Jim said and let it run every once in a while.

You wouldn't want to bolt a 4-cyl trans up to the 4.0 anyway (if I'm reading the OP correctly). It would destroy it in a heartbeat.

Your Rubicon wheels are 5x4.5 so MJ, TJ, XJ, YJ and ZJ owners can bolt them right on without adapters. That style of wheel are popular with Jeep people as you probably know so you probably could sell them for a decent amount. Most of them (they're called Moabs) came off JKs and need adapters (roughly a hundred bucks) to fit the aforementioned vehicles. Personally, I prefer the look of the Moabs but the Pacers look good on your truck. Ultimately the decision is of course up to you. -

Is it possible your fuel pump is just loud? Mine is loud as hell sometimes (and silent other times) but it works fine. What brand of fuel pump did you use? I used the crappy Airtex pump when I replaced mine in 2012. For a while it was really noisy after a few minutes of driving but after a few months it mostly quieted down.

Let's make this easy and simple. This is an XJ with long arms. Notice that the lower control arms go all the way from the crossmember to the axle? When you lift your truck you screw up the stock suspension geometry. Long arms correct that. Shackles are what attach one end of your leaf springs to the vehicle. It's easy to see them on this YJ: When you add longer shackles you basically move the springs further away from the frame. Longer shackles produce lift, while shorter shackles lower the truck. This only applies to the rear, as you only have leaf springs in the rear. When you do an add-a-leaf, you add one or more leaf springs to your existing pack. The springs you use have to somewhat match the MJ springs in length and arch to work well. Some manufacturers offer kits for this. The first result for "jeep comanche add a leaf" is a 3'' Rusty's kit for $265. When you convert to 4wd you can use the exact same lift. Fix your truck before you lift your truck. :thumbsup: -
If you're looking for alternative hosting options, all my pics are hosted through Imgur. It does require a membership after a certain number of pics but I've literally never had any trouble with pics not showing up in nearly 2 years.

Like Pete said, if it doesn't have holes in it and doesn't leak you shouldn't have to do anything. Por-15 would prevent the outside from rusting if you want to do it, though. -

Interesting timing... I'm actually piecing things together to make a copy of my truck's window sticker (hence the option catalog thread) I always think I have a stripper truck til I see ones like this... the days when power steering and two mirrors were extra cost options. :D There's a certain charm to ones like this though, I have to admit. Edit: This truck has a radio and mine didn't. Hah!
