  1. There is no way in hell I'd pay more than $600 for that truck. You will have more time and money tied up in that rusted mess than it will ever be worth. You seriously need to rethink buying that truck or get him to lower the price about $1500. Sorry for being a jerk but that truck is a pile.
  2. OBA, flat bed, front trailer connection, lighting, custom paint and of course an air horn.
  3. Not all of the old farts on here have an issue with the "Angry Eyes". I for one like the look. I had them on my XJ, MJ, and Hummer in Iraq.
  4. You're right Yellaheep. I was looking at my Chargers cluster and didn't even think about the MJ having another position. The add states the tires are original. Which I know they are not. If they can fib about that what else is not true about that truck? It is also a bargaining chip for a possible buyer.
  5. I'm willing to bet that the odometer has been flipped and it is 102,000 miles. Someone should pull a carfax on it. Those tires aren't original either. If my memory serves me right, Jeep was using Goodyear Wrangler Radial tires on all their vehicles.
  6. I'm loving the Golden Eagle!
  7. I was worried about you cutting up rare green 92 truck at first. After seeing your work and the trucks' current state I am impressed. You have done a hell of a job on i!
  8. Are you guys quoting the manual for a 2.8? The OP has an 86 MJ with a V6.
  9. 285/70/17 Cooper ATP from discount tire. Less than $700 for the set. Load range E as well.
  10. Those are your flares on there. I just got them Friday. They are painted with Krylon fusion. I will repaint them in a week or two after the Krylon sets up and I can get the duplicolor on. If you look close you will notice that the front flares run into my head lights. No problem. I just painted a bit of the light white to mask it. Thanks again!
  11. Whoa! Another Hunter Green Eliminator!
  12. I did it to a Rampage once. They are a unibody as well. I found that It was actually stronger than a body on frame. The MJ may be different because the bed and cab are seperate unlike the Rampage is. I have also seen them mounted in a tool box so theives can't see them.
  13. I've found it easier to remove the fender to cut the hinges. Taking out the torx bolts is a PIA on the door hinges.
  14. I just traded in my 13 R/T. It was a great PUP. The only thing about them is the are stupid heavy. Mine had a empty tongue weight of 433 pounds! I'm not buying his 2500/250 weights. Loaded it was almost 500. You need a WDH and brake controller for them. Nicely built trailers though. Fully boxed frame and nice suspension.
  15. I just leveled my CTD with a 2" kit from Hell Bent Steel. Nice kit and it was cheap!
  16. I used a front door lift to get it to go all the way down. The rear regulators only go down 3/4 of the way because of the tire bump. It took 3 doors to make one rear 4 door door!
  17. Two door window from a pre 97 will fix the rear door glass problem. Make the door fit the glass. I had a door mocked up before I decided to resto mod Betty.
  18. My 89 Eliminator had a D35, bench seat, and mini console factory installed.
  19. Check out www.mikesmontes.com The closest match I have found is the claret red
  20. Looks like a drop pitman arm with a stock track bar mount. They need to be dropped the same amount. If you drop one the other must be dropped too. At 4.5", 7* of caster is preferred.
  21. You have too much caster. You want about 6* not almost 9 1/2*. My LJ also likes a touch of toe out too.
  22. What are the specs on the alignment? The RC track bar is subject to me. They had issues with the bushings being too soft.
  23. If you want to sale the flares I'd be interested. Nice truck btw!
  24. If you had that bad of a vibration you needed to rebuild your shaft anyhow. The CAD was done away with in later years because it is a crappy design. It will only take one time for it not to work when you need it most, when you will be kicking yourself for not deleting it. Just think if you dive head first into a hole thinking your front axle is locked in. You get about rocker deep and all of a sudden you realize you are nothing more than a 2WD truck and you're now stuck. You will have to get pulled out, winch yourself out, or go SCUBA diving to fix your none working CAD. I always lock them over because that has happened to me. Now I never, ever wheel alone.
