My reason for not believing Nobama's BC is real... (hold on, it is a fun ride and you may learn some US History in the process ) Obama was born Aug 04 1961 in Hawaii. Hawaii did not become a US State until Aug 21 1959. During this time the US was buried in the Vietnam War. This war raged from Nov 1955 until Apr 1975. Also during this this on the home front the US was being seperated by the Civil Rights movement. The Civil Rights movement Lasted from 1955-1968 being lead by Dr. King. The term African American did not get thrown around until the late 80's or early 90's when the Rev Jackson started forcing for it to be used as a more politically correct way describe a black person's race. Why? Because we are all Americans! What does this all have to do with the President's BC you ask? The piece of paper that was uncovered to be his true birth certificate said that his race was African-American? How could this be? In 1961 when he was born they would have put one of two things in the block that says race... 1. BLACK or 2. NEGRO With Hawaii becoming a state only 2 years earlier, the War killing our boys by the truck load, the civil unrest tearing the country apart, and the title African-American was not even used then. How could his BC be legit? Ok, I am going to put my tin hat back on

Buckets seats are not all that rare. The Metric Tonne package and the AMC 20 is a pretty uncommon as it was availble only in 86. The 2.5 had just a tad less power and torque than the 2.8 V6, which was also a 86 only thing. You have a unique little truck. Check out the registry and see if how your truck fits in the equation. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=30 If you would be willing please add it as well. If you choose not to can you PM me the last 6 digits (just the numbers) so I can see where yours fits in the production run. I am still trying to find out how early mine is. My last 6 are 003550 which makes her a pretty early truck.

Post your vin number and we can tell you what package you have. The 86 was only available as a Base, X, or XLS. From the sounds of it you might have a XLS with a Metric ton option as well. If you can take pics of the transmission, rear diff cover and the leaf packs. We will be able to tell you what you are truly running under it. The AX-15 was not offered behind the 2.5 in 86.

I stand by my statement... http://certguns.doj.ca.gov/ Unless I am missing something the above is directly from the California Department of Justice, Roster of Handgun website.

As long as you are not convicted of a serious crime, the gun can be bought in CA from a licensed dealer. It can't have a high capaicty magazine though. Roster of handguns certified for sale http://certguns.doj.ca.gov/safeguns_resp.asp CA firearms laws http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/forms/pdf/Cfl2007.pdf

Is the antenna plugged in? Some decks will not work without it being plugged in. -

The mounting holes on the XJ and ZJ seats are not too much different. A universal set would be the best bang for your buck. I like the look of the 96+ ZJ cloth seats. They can also be easily modified to tilt forward like stock using junk yard parts. Plus they are a lot more comfortable than XJ seats. I also need ZJ to MJ brackets for my truck! :chillin:

Wow, sorry for the loss of your friend. His family and fellow Peace Officers will be in my thoughts!

I have found the www.myjeeprocks.com is pretty good too. They are really cool and down to earth. It is a somewhat local CA club. But, they will take anyone on the forum.

My VIN is 003550. My build date sticker is long gone. I have found parts in my truck that date back to 04/86. I still have a $20 reward hanging out there if someone can show me documented proof of her actual birthday.

Long time no see buddy! How have you been? -
It looks like a "bullet nose" Stude to me? :dunno:

I love my CTD. What I can't stand about 90% of the other diesel owners is the need to make them smoke to "roll coal" all the time. That black smoke is wasted fuel. My truck is tuned and does not smoke hardly at all. It is white and has not been washed in about two months. There is no soot on my truck at all. My EGTs do not get above 1400 when towing either. Those tards are the reason why diesel owners get a bad rap and why they are starting to do emission testing on diesels.

To each his own I guess. My Shelby is one of 445 (256 with A/C) cars and it is not numbered. My car sits in the garage while the new cars sit outside. Will my 87 Charger ever be worth a pile of cash? Probably not. That does not mean I am going to let a car with 71K on it sit out in the elements. I have been a Shelby Dodge fan for over 20 years. I had a Shelby Dakota convertible clone that I built from a rolled red Dak. It is just a shame to see one of my favorite trucks rotting away in a field. My screen name should tip you off to my knowledge of the Shelby Dodge era cars and trucks. :waving:
-
You should be ashamed of yourself! :fs1: Why would you ever let a truck as rare as a Shelby Dak weather like that? I would love to have that truck. Did the truck get any damage from the roof falling on it? What number is it?
-
It is real and worth what he is asking. That is a very rare Jeep Gaucho. There is little info on these trucks. This is only the second one I have ever seen. The first I have seen for sale.

Try to start it in neutral. If it does your NSS is on the way out.
